Super Junior's Leeteuk shared his feelings about returning to TV Chosun after 9 years.
On the morning of the 2nd, a press conference for TV Chosun's new entertainment show 'My Way - Over-Immersion Club' was held at the TV Chosun Gasan Studio in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Tak Jae-hoon, Chae Jung-an, Yunho, Leeteuk, MIMI, and producer Kim Hana.
'My Way - Over-Immersion Club' is a reality show that observes the daily lives of people who are immersed in a certain object. Tak Jae-hoon, Chae Jung-an, Yunho, Leeteuk, and MIMI will join as MCs to reveal moments of over-immersion in everyday life.
On that day, Leeteuk said, "About 8 to 9 years ago, when I was working on a program with TV Chosun, I thought I would never return after it closed down, but here I am again." Leeteuk had previously co-hosted TV Chosun's 'Idol Party' in 2016 alongside Kim Shin-young and Kim Jun-ho.
He noted, "Among various clubs like health clubs and nightclubs, I think this will be the healthiest and most beneficial to daily life. Feeling alive, having fun, and experiencing joy happen when you're caught up in something. I think it would be nice to feel what you can immerse yourself in while watching the program."
In particular, when asked about the opportunity to appear on 'My Way - Over-Immersion Club,' he joked, "In this time of economic recession, if a new program launches, I have to jump in quickly. That's why I decided to participate."
He continued, "More than the concept of over-immersion, I liked 'My Way.' When I was younger, if I was overly immersed in something, the adults would say I should be over-immersed in studying. It could be gaming, or I could become a fan of someone and fangirl. Times have changed; now, if you are over-immersed in gaming, you can become a professional gamer, and if you like a celebrity, you can take photos and edit videos. The world has changed. I have a lot of interests in various fields, and I want to show it to many people. With this opportunity, I thought I should challenge myself, so I decided to participate. I hope many MCs and panelists will show what they will challenge and their new sides."
Meanwhile, 'My Way - Over-Immersion Club' is set to premiere on the 3rd at 10 p.m.
