On the 4th, the MBC show "Save Me! Homes" (directed by Jeong Da-hee, Nam Yu-jeong, Kim Wan-cheol, Heo Ja-yun, Kim Seong-nyeon, hereafter "Homes") features singer Lee Seok-hoon and Wendy of Red Velvet embarking on a K-pop entertainment district tour.
The broadcast will take viewers on a tour of Seoul, the city that the world is watching for its K-pop entertainment agencies. Park Na-rae introduced, "The movie 'K-pop Demon Hunters' is creating a global sensation, increasing interest in K-pop. Among fans, visiting entertainment headquarters is becoming a tourist attraction." Kim Suk noted, "Every location where a large entertainment company is established has its unique atmosphere," adding that they will explore the various properties around the entertainment headquarters, building anticipation.
This K-pop entertainment district tour features Wendy of Red Velvet, a representative of K-pop, singer Lee Seok-hoon, and comedic idol Yang Se-hyung together. Before the full tour begins, Joo Woo-jae is unable to take his eyes off Wendy, who appeared in the studio. Declaring himself a fan, Joo Woo-jae said, "I've liked Red Velvet for a long time and bought their CDs to listen to all the songs," showing his excitement.
Appearing alongside, Lee Seok-hoon noted, "I am not a representative of K-pop. I have mainly acted as a judge for idols coming out since the 3rd generation. I feel like a public servant in that field."
Wendy reveals why she does not cover the OST "Golden" from the much-anticipated movie "K-pop Demon Hunters". She confessed, "I practiced at home to cover 'Golden', but (the pitch is high) I thought I was going to faint. I felt I wouldn't be able to do it perfectly, so I didn't record it. Above all, I wanted to show it perfectly live rather than through recording."
This year marks the 11th anniversary of Wendy's debut with Red Velvet. Reflecting on her trainee days and debut, she said, "I don't want to go back again." She shared, "I went to the SM Global Audition after following a friend and was selected, but I had to catch up with others' trainee periods, which was really tough."
Lee Seok-hoon also revealed, "I auditioned in the president's office, singing live. After passing, I debuted two months later, having lost weight from 100 kg to 64 kg. I lost 15 kg per month." He astonished everyone, and while reviewing his debut video, Lee Seok-hoon humorously self-dissed, saying, "I don't know why I'm waving my hand like that. It's so ugly."
Lee Seok-hoon, Wendy, and Yang Se-hyung explore the city of K-pop today as "K-pop Hunters". The tour heads to Seongsu-dong in Seongdong-gu, the cradle of first-generation K-pop idols, located in front of Seoul Forest Station.
Wendy surprised everyone by saying, "During my time at SM, I used to take the subway to work often. If I just wore a hat and kept my head down, no one recognized me."
