Singer and musical actor Kim Junsu successfully concluded his first media exhibition, 'KIMJUNSU MEDIA EXHIBITION [VOICE : COLOR OF SOUND].'
Kim Junsu hosted the 'KIMJUNSU MEDIA EXHIBITION [VOICE : COLOR OF SOUND]' (김준수 미디어 전시회 [보이스 : 컬러 오브 사운드]) in collaboration with the content solution company CreativeMut (MUT) from Aug. 20 to 28 at the 4th floor of Tokyu Plaza Harajuku 'Harakado,' drawing significant attention.
The exhibition, aptly named 'VOICE : COLOR OF SOUND,' showcased Kim Junsu's identity and his most powerful asset, his 'voice,' through various media formats, enhancing the immersive experience. Notably, the exhibition featured real-time holograms, virtual reality (VR), and computer graphics (CG) created using the next-generation 3D solution Unreal Engine, allowing visitors to encounter the artist's captivating vocal tones in a specially curated space that dazzled their eyes and ears.
First, in the VR ZONE 'PRISM STAGE,' visitors experienced a meeting with Kim Junsu, who sang exclusively for them in a vivid 360-degree VR video that heightened their heart rates. On even-numbered days, he sang 'The Twenty-First Season Will Wait for You,' and on odd-numbered days, he performed 'Red Diamond,' making viewers feel as if they were almost within reach.
In the 'BEHIND THE SCENE' area, Kim Junsu's actual costumes from performances and the filming were displayed alongside a massive hologram screen showcasing the 'HANA' stage, captivating the audience. His stage was vividly brought to life through five real-time holograms connected by hologram splicing technology, creating an exhilarating feeling akin to being at a concert venue.
Additionally, a 'HOLOGRAM STUDIO' was set up where fans could take commemorative photos with Kim Junsu, creating memorable moments. Furthermore, merchandise specially produced for the exhibition, including goods featuring the artist's portrait and hand-lettered omamori keychains, also captured the attention of visitors.
Most notably, on the last day of the exhibition on the 28th (Thursday), Kim Junsu made a surprise visit, filling the exhibition hall with cheers in an instant. Kim Junsu secretly joined the audience to enjoy his VR video and then made a surprise appearance in front of fans who finished watching the VR experience, providing an unforgettable memory for those who attended.
In response to Kim Junsu's intense fan love, the 'ECHO NOTES' space allowed fans to leave messages for the artist, resulting in approximately 1,500 messages filling the walls over the nine days of the exhibition. Messages reflecting love, such as 'I came for the day for the exhibition' and 'Junsu's voice is the only healing in my life,' conveyed the deep bond Kim Junsu and his fans have built over 22 years.
