As broadcaster Yoon Jung-soo approaches his wedding expected in November, it has become a topic of interest that his fiancée is Won Ja-hyun, a former sports MC known as the 'Goddess of Guangzhou.'
Won Ja-hyun has had various roles, including KBS reporter, traffic caster, and MBC sports reporter, and gained attention as the 'Goddess of Guangzhou' during the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. She has since worked as a fitness model and Pilates instructor, pioneering new fields.
In a 2011 interview with OSEN, Won Ja-hyun noted, "Since I sometimes conduct live broadcasts of up to three a day, I end up dating sports instead of engaging in romantic relationships with the opposite sex," revealing her passionate relationship with work. At the time, she was juggling baseball commentary and e-sports hosting, earning her the label of a 'small-bodied energizer.'
When asked about her views on dating at the time, Won Ja-hyun, born in 1983, responded with a somewhat textbook answer that she had no time for dating with the opposite sex, as she was busy conducting live broadcasts of up to three a day. Nevertheless, she shared her ideal type as follows.
"As long as someone cherishes me and I could stake my destiny on them, I wouldn't want anything more. Someone who understands me well would be great. If I were to look for my ideal type among baseball players, it would be Park Jeong-kwon or Lee Ho-jun. Park Jeong-kwon's impression is trustworthy, right? Lee Ho-jun is cheerful and genial. Even in the fast-paced environment, both of them make me feel comfortable. That said, I don't only like baseball. Although I don't know many soccer players, I was surprised that those who seemed gruff were actually kind."
It appears that for Won Ja-hyun, Yoon Jung-soo was the 'person she could stake her destiny on.'
Earlier, Yoon Jung-soo attracted attention by revealing on air that he would marry a Pilates instructor 12 years his junior. The two, who have already completed their marriage registration and are legally a couple, are scheduled to hold their wedding at a location in Gangnam, Seoul, in November.
Above all, Won Ja-hyun's social media is already filled with posts hinting at her romance with Yoon Jung-soo. Recently, they were speculated to have traveled to Italy together.
Yoon Jung-soo also appeared on the recently aired TV CHOSUN show 'Joseon's Love Fool,' where he revealed about his fiancée, "She has been like a younger sister I've known for over a decade, but we became much closer in the last 4 to 5 months," hinting at their love story. The couple will appear together on 'Joseon's Love Fool' to discuss their wedding plans.
