The son of broadcaster Kim Gura, rapper Gree, made a heartfelt appeal to young men.
On the 2nd, Gree posted a photo on his social media account story with the caption, "Young people, join the Marine Corps...! Please come a lot.."
In the published photo, Gree attended the '2025 Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Career and Entrepreneurship Fair' held at Ilsan KINTEX. Having participated in the 'Republic of Korea Marine Corps' booth, Gree took the lead in recruiting for the Marine Corps with the message, "Young people, please come join the Marine Corps."
Gree enlisted in the Marine Corps last July. At the time, Gree explained, "I wanted to cultivate independence and learn how to survive on my own a bit more. Just when I needed a turning point, the time to enlist in the military approached. I thought that joining the Marine Corps would give me the right mindset, so I had planned it for a long time."
Having enlisted in the Marine Corps unexpectedly, Gree is continuing an exemplary military life while receiving the 'Model Marine' certificate and a certificate of merit for facility and environmental management.
Meanwhile, Gree is scheduled to be discharged in January 2026.
