Director Jeong Jong-yeon announced the production confirmation of 'Devil's Plan' Season 3.
On the 2nd, the 'Netflix Variety Festival 2025' took place at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dongdaemun, Seoul.
Attending the event were Hwang Seul-woo from 'Crime Scene Zero', Jang Ho-gi from 'Physical: Asia', Kim Ye-seul from 'Three Meals in Kenya', Kim Yeo-jin from 'Lee Seo-jin's Dollar Dollar', Kim Hak-min from 'Culinary Class Wars: Class War 2', Kim Jae-won from 'Single's Inferno 5', Jeong Jong-yeon from 'Mystery Investigation Team 2', Lee So-min from 'Kian's Bizarre B&B', Kim No-eun PD from 'Better Late Than Single 2', and Director Yoo Gi-hwan.
On this day, Director Jeong Jong-yeon, responsible for the direction of 'Mystery Investigation Team 2', which is set to be released in February next year, noted, "During the first season, the episodes were short, which made it quite challenging, but this time we created three. So, I've thought carefully to ensure each of the three stories has its own unique appeal. I've worked hard to avoid comments like 'it feels like it was just watched.' Also, I've tried going outdoors rather than being in the studio, so I think the visuals will be refreshing."
He also shared the chemistry with new members. Li Yong-jin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, Karina, and the new team member Gabee returned for Season 2. Director Jeong stated, "Of course, during Season 1, there was chemistry among the six, and even though it was the first season, they performed very well, but considering that it's the second season, the six have their own histories that they've built outside of our production. Also, since everyone was looking forward to the recording, as soon as we began, there was a vibe as if we were watching a long-time member variety show, including Gabee. This aspect is definitely something to look forward to."
He also emphasized, "From the beginning, this program needs to focus on entertainment rather than mystery, so I thought it was important to create an environment where the members could create genuine laughter. Related to that, things went very well, and the chemistry among the members exceeded expectations."
In particular, on this day, Director Jeong Jong-yeon made a surprising announcement, saying, "We have decided to produce Season 3 of 'Devil's Plan.' Furthermore, there are many supporters, and this program often receives criticism. However, there were still things to discuss, and when I asked myself if it was better and more interesting than the last season, I thought, 'It should be fine,' which is why I'm proceeding with Season 3."
