In November, actor On Juwan, who is about to marry Bang Min-Ah, successfully completed the musical "Mahogany."
On Juwan finished the final performance of the musical "Mahogany" on Aug. 31, concluding a three-month journey. "Mahogany" is inspired by Bertolt Brecht's "The Rise and Fall of Mahagonny." It is set in the unfamiliar city of "Mahogany," where reality and fantasy intersect.
On Juwan played the role of the host, who is the architect and guide of Mahagonny. He provided everything to the visitors, known as guests, fulfilling their self-love and self-esteem immediately. After a three-year hiatus from the stage since the 2022 musical "Sandglass," he returned to the theater with strong charisma and delivered a powerful performance.
Having completed the final performance successfully amid the audience's cheers, On Juwan noted, "By performing in 'Mahogany' after three years, I had a happy time communicating and enjoying with the audience once again." He added, "I want to express my gratitude and acknowledgment to the director, staff, and fellow actors for their hard work, and I hope to meet you again on a happy 'Mahogany' stage."
Since debuting in 2002 with the drama "Era of the Wild," On Juwan has excelled in various works such as the films "Ballroom Lessons," "Decision to Leave," "Addicted," and the "Honest Candidate" series, as well as dramas like "My Love, My Side," "Punch," "Beautiful Gong Shim," "The Man Who Sets the Table," "Penthouse," and "The Moon Rising in the Day."
In November, he will have a wedding ceremony with actress Bang Min-Ah, a member of Girl's Day. The agency previously stated, "Mr. On Juwan and Ms. Bang Min-Ah have decided to weave their lives together after a serious relationship. We ask for warm blessings and support for their future as a couple starting a second life, and the wedding will be held quietly with family members and close relatives only."
