'Culinary Class Wars' returns this December.
On Dec. 2, the 'Netflix Entertainment Festival 2025' was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul.
Over the past year, Netflix has unveiled a variety of fresh and entertaining shows, including 'The Influencer', 'Rising Star Jo Jung-seok', 'Comedy Revenge', 'Culinary Class Wars', 'Zombieverse: New Blood', 'Ultimate Rugby: Die or Win', 'Single's Inferno 4', 'Kian's Bizarre B&B', 'Devil's Plan: Death Room', and 'Better Late Than Single'.
At the event, creators and Director Yoo Gi-hwan attended and discussed future Netflix entertainment.
Director Yoo Gi-hwan noted, "I mentioned four years ago that we would present three entertainment programs per year, and it seems that we are on a somewhat stable trajectory. Rather than focusing on just a few works, I want to speak about the next steps for Netflix entertainment."
He continued, "Last year was a meaningful year. 'Culinary Class Wars' received a great deal of attention and love, and it recorded high viewing times. It seems to have become a significant work, not only stopping there but also invigorating the entire restaurant industry and sparking interest in Korean cuisine."
In particular, Director Yoo Gi-hwan announced that starting in September, new entertainment will be released every month through 2026. He mentioned that 'Crime Scene Zero', which will be released on Sept. 23, as well as 'Physical: Asia', set to premiere in October, and 'Three Meals in Kenya', expected in November, adding, "Many of you may be waiting for 'Culinary Class Wars 2', which is scheduled to be released in December."
'Culinary Class Wars' is a fierce cooking competition where skilled yet underappreciated chefs, known as 'black spoons', challenge the nation's top star chefs, referred to as 'white spoons'. The show accomplished the remarkable feat of being Netflix Korea's first program to reach No. 1 in the global non-English TOP 10 for three consecutive weeks. This season promises a more overwhelming scale and intense clashes among black and white chefs, unfolding a culinary survival experience that satisfies all five senses.
Additionally, 'Single's Inferno 5' is set for January, 'Mystery Investigation Team 2' will be released in February, while 'Kian's Bizarre B&B 2', 'Yoo Jae-suk Camp', and 'Better Late Than Single 2' are anticipated to premiere in 2026.
