The group MONSTA X has returned.
On the 1st, MONSTA X (Shenu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, IM) held a comeback talk live to celebrate the release of their new mini album 'THE X' through their official YouTube channel. Immediately after the album's release, MONSTA X first met with fans, engaging in real-time communication and various segments that drew enthusiastic responses from MONBEBE (the official fan club) worldwide.
Expressing their excitement about the album release, MONSTA X took a moment to check out MONBEBE's 'favorite tracks' through real-time chat. Amid various songs being mentioned, the members immediately introduced the six tracks included in the album through the first talk segment 'THE 'TRACKLIST'.
First, Jooheon discussed the pre-released track 'Do What I Want,' in which he participated in writing and composing, saying, "It is a song I worked on with producers I always wanted to collaborate with. It was a great honor." He also explained, "It carries a message of confidence and playfulness while having solid energy, saying, 'Let's have fun today!'" and the leader Shenu showcased the key choreography, elevating the atmosphere.
Next, the introduction to the title track 'N the Front' was given. Kihyun stated that it is a song containing the message, "We are the standard. We face forward without retreat." He mentioned, "The real 'head-on breakthrough' was done by us (the vocal line) rapping," adding with a laugh, "I have a video of Shenu struggling while rapping on my phone. Is it okay to release it?" Jooheon also hinted that he has another video, and Shenu allowed the video to be shared, responding, "I will face everything head-on," heating up the scene.
Continuing the excitement, MONSTA X unveiled group key choreography, further raising anticipation for their comeback stage. Minhyuk noted, "There are really many great songs on the album, so it went through a lot of competition to become the title track," and added, "Personally, the biggest reason for it being the title track seems to be that it can show variety."
Afterward, as a self-producing group, MONSTA X shared behind-the-scenes stories of various tracks, including IM's self-composed song 'Savior', Jooheon's other self-composed song 'Tuscan Leather', and Hyungwon's self-composed track 'Fire & Ice', enhancing the immersion.
After watching the album preview video, the second segment 'THE 'ALBUM'' continued with the album introduction. Shenu explained that the album title 'THE X' signifies a complete unknown, suggesting numerous possibilities and new directions, and is linked to the number 10, summarizing the journey of the past decade. The members also unboxed various versions of the physical album, sharing stories related to the concept photos and making it more entertaining.
After enjoying the trailer video signaling the start of 'THE X', MONSTA X held a final segment 'THE 'SHADOW'' where they played a 3v3 game. In this game, members guess who is who based on silhouettes from content related to the album. Under the guidance of the MC Jooheon, a fierce competition unfolded, culminating in a muk-jji-ppa match, where the losing team, consisting of Shenu, Kihyun, and IM, promised to upload a cute version challenge of 'N the Front', bringing smiles.
Finally, MONSTA X wrapped up their comeback live by expressing their determination for future activities. The members said, "We sincerely thank our MONBEBE, and I think you can look forward to many activities of MONSTA X in the future," raising expectations, and concluded the live, shouting, "We love you, MONBEBE!"
