Kim Chang-yeol and Park Sun-joo revealed the origin story of DJ DOC.
On the 1st, singer Kim Chang-yeol grants on Channel A's "Close Friends Documentary – Four-Person Table" (hereinafter "Four-Person Table"), inviting Park Sun-joo and Seong Dae-hyun to share stories.
That day, Park Kyung-rim introduced Kim Chang-yeol, Park Sun-joo, and Seong Dae-hyun by saying, "If we have BTS and Jennie now, there were these people we loved back in the day."
Park Sun-joo mentioned that Kim Chang-yeol is very affectionate, contrary to his appearance, saying, "I had a severe car accident in the past. I came to the hospital crying. I had a neck brace on, and he bought me strawberries. He cut the strawberry stems for me. I thought, 'He will treat his wife well.'"
Seong Dae-hyun also stated that Kim Chang-yeol's true self is slightly different from what people perceive, explaining, "There are parts misrepresented by the media and people. Some things he reacted to intensely were mistakes, but it was often exaggerated."
They also unveiled stories related to the birth of DJ DOC. Kim Chang-yeol said of Park Sun-joo, "She is the one who made me. She gave me my first vocal lesson." Park Sun-joo added, "I believe my first student was Kim Bum-soo, but it was Kim Chang-yeol who brought me into the vocal world. We produced DJ DOC together."
In response, Kim Chang-yeol expressed his disappointment, saying, "When I saw the interview, it stated that Kim Bum-soo was my first student," and Seong Dae-hyun humorously replied, "Bum-soo doesn't cause any trouble."
Park Kyung-rim explained that DJ DOC was sensational at the time. Park Sun-joo said, "Originally, their name was The Three Musketeers," and Kim Chang-yeol replied, "I had an interview scheduled, but there was no team name. I bought a magazine and saw 'The Three Musketeers' written there." Park Sun-joo continued, "Haneul said we couldn't use this name. He complained, saying it sounded outdated. He told me to come up with a name, so I suggested, 'Let's call ourselves Dreaming Children.' That's how they became DOC."
Park Sun-joo added, "Chang-yeol had a pioneering visual. Nowadays, there is a diversity in handsomeness. (DJ DOC's goal was) to head in a direction of individuality."
