Singer Yoo Seung-jun (Steve Yoo) expressed his feelings for the first time after winning the first trial of his third visa issuance lawsuit.
Yoo Seung-jun posted a lengthy message on his YouTube channel on the 31st, stating, "If I have the greatest blessing, it would be gaining a loving wife and a loving family."
He said, "In that sense, I have gained everything. Even when there are heartbreaking things, my heart has always been rich and grateful. I drew strength from my loving wife and children, especially my twin daughters, who are healing itself every time I see them. The more difficult and painful it is, the closer and deeper love, acceptance, and comfort become. When going through hardships, the fake and the real are distinguished, and the finite and the infinite are also separated," revealing his affection for his family.
He continued, "I wonder how nice it would be to learn life without mistakes and regrets. Life is something that you gradually realize as your wrinkles grow and your white beard increases. No one is an exception. Only after losing does one realize how precious it was... I am truly a foolish person."
Finally, he said, "It hasn't been easy, but I have come this far. Is there an easy life in this world? It is so sad to see the media reality that distorts facts and fades sincerity no matter what."
Earlier, on the 28th, the Administrative 5th Division of the Seoul Administrative Court (Director General Lee Jeong-won) ruled in favor of Yoo Seung-jun in the first trial of the lawsuit he filed against the Ministry of Justice and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles challenging the existence of the entry ban and the refusal of visa issuance.
However, regarding Yoo Seung-jun's military evasion, the court emphasized, "This ruling does not determine that Yoo Seung-jun's past actions were appropriate." It added that Yoo Seung-jun's lawsuit seeking confirmation of the absence of an entry ban decision made by the Ministry of Justice in 2002 is "not subject to court judgment," and thus dismissed it.
