The group Monsta X writes their own formula anew once again beyond 10 years.
Monsta X unveiled all tracks from their new mini album 'The X' and the music video for the title track 'N the Front' at 6 p.m. on the 1st through various music streaming sites.
Debuting in 2015, Monsta X is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. The new release *'THE X'* signifies 'a complete unknown variable' and also represents the Roman numeral 10, functioning as a symbol encapsulating the team's journey over the past 10 years. Monsta X delivers a strong message that they will reinterpret the familiar symbol 'X' in their own way and pioneer the next 10 years.
The album includes the pre-released track 'Do What I Want' as well as the title track 'N the Front,' along with 'Savior,' 'Tuscan Leather,' 'Catch Me Now,' and *'Fire & Ice,'* totaling six tracks. Hyungwon, Joohoney, and IM participated in writing and composing the songs, adding more depth to the team's unique color, while the tracks showcase the emotions and growth trajectory of Monsta X within a cohesive flow.
The title track 'N the Front' is an electronic-based track featuring heavy bass, intense drums, and strong vocals and rap, summarizing Monsta X's current state in the most powerful way. Beyond simple intensity, it carries a declaration that 'we set the standard,' reaffirming their position through the lyrics and performances.
"I wanna see you in the front / Look straight, this is my position / I still rise with ambition / Breaking the mold, entering a new mission / Now, collide head-on / I wanna see you in the front / Hands up! Say my name, hey / (Where you at) No retreat in the front / Hands up! Say my name, hey / (Ain't going back) Throw me now in the front"
The music video released simultaneously symbolically unravels the 'monsters within' and captures scenes of the members shaking the world. The rebellious yet raw energy combined with kitschy action and overwhelming performances delivers a powerful catharsis.
Over the past 10 years, Monsta X has positioned themselves as both survivors and pioneers in the K-pop market. With intense performances on stage, musical experiments, and teamwork that dominated the global scene, they have once again revealed a new formula with 'THE X.' Fans worldwide are looking forward to what narrative Monsta X will write for their next 10 years as they return as a complete group.
