Kim Young-kwang and Park Yong-woo from 'Walking On Thin Ice' engage in a breathless chase over a mysterious bag.
Set to premiere on Sept. 20 (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m. on KBS 2TV, the new Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'Walking On Thin Ice' (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin, produced by Baram Pictures and Slingshot Studio) depicts the perilous partnership of a parent, Kang Eun-soo, who wants to protect her family, and her teacher, Lee Kyung, who by chance acquires a bag of narcotics.
In the drama, Kim Young-kwang plays the role of Lee Kyung, a mysterious figure who is a highly popular art instructor during the day and a renowned club managing director at night. Park Yong-woo portrays the head of the drug investigation unit at the Gwangnam Police Station, Jang Tae-goo, who sets out to track down the drug trafficking organization with his seasoned investigative skills and relentless competitive spirit.
The two characters become intertwined due to a lost bag of the drug trafficking organization 'Phantom,' depicting a tense relationship of pursuit and evasion. As their reasons for risking their lives in drug transactions and capturing the organization are revealed, the narrative's allure is expected to intensify.
The stills released today (1st) show Lee Kyung and Jang Tae-goo facing each other directly. Wearing a black jacket and exuding a sharp gaze at the club 'Medusa,' Kim Young-kwang subtly communicates a sense of calm while concealing his identity. Park Yong-woo, with a relentless gaze determined to notice even the other's breaths, confronts him with intense tension. The fierce psychological battle and conflict between the two during the suffocating chase are expected to heighten the drama's tension.
The production team noted, 'The conflict dynamic between Kim Young-kwang and Park Yong-woo surpasses a simple chase. The thriller's urgency, along with the gradually revealed secrets of the two men, will provide viewers with overwhelming immersion.' They added, 'Please stay tuned for the fate-driven confrontation of the two men tied to a single bag.'
