Comedian Lee Eun-ji revealed an experience she had when she made false statements early in her debut.
On the 31st, a video titled "Fairy Jaehyung + Comedian = Certain Big Favor and Big Laughter" was uploaded to the 'Fairy Jaehyung' channel.
On this day, Lee Eun-ji appeared as a guest on 'Fairy Table' and shared various stories. She mentioned that she learned dance sports during her school years, saying, "I started (dance sports) from the second year of middle school, so step by step, cha-cha, samba, rumba, paso doble, and jive, I learned all of them and continued until the last year of high school."
Hearing this, Jung Jae-hyung asked, "How did you get into Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (Broadcasting Entertainment Department) then? You said you fell out of the dance sports (entrance exam). But how is that possible concurrently?" expressing his bewilderment at achieving both the dance sports entrance exam and preparing to become a comedian at the same time.
In response, Lee Eun-ji said, "I also find this very interesting. When I meet someone who studies fortune-telling, I have really wanted to ask. Because I had honestly excelled at dance sports. I was good, confident, and received many awards," and added, "While doing dance sports in high school, my dream was to make my school friends laugh because it was so fun. So, I thought I wanted to go to university for dance sports and take the comedian exam."
She explained the situation at that time, saying, "Since I was good at dance sports, I thought I would apply to Seoul Institute of the Arts (Dance Department) and Dongduk Women's University (Physical Education Department). I thought, 'I can get in.' But I actually got rejected everywhere. It was my first hardship in life. I was completely rejected, thinking, 'What should I do?' At that time, an older sister who was close to me said, 'You don't need to choose the department just based on what you've learned, right? Think about what you really want to do.'"
She continued, "So, where can I study to become a comedian? Suddenly, I searched on my own and took the exam, and I suddenly got first place in the comedy major. But I also acted out a dance sports character there. When I combined dance sports with comedy, I again placed first there."
In response, Jung Jae-hyung asked, "Is Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts Broadcasting Entertainment Department also a preparation that takes a long time? Was it in the same year?" Lee Eun-ji responded, "It was falling and getting accepted," and added, "Since then, I have been doing comedy. Since I was 20 years old."
Jung Jae-hyung exclaimed, "What... this is really fateful. Do you think it's fateful too?" He expressed curiosity, saying, "What did your parents say? How much were the lesson fees, costume fees, and how much were those shoes? That's incredible. There must have been choreography fees and other such things."
In response, Lee Eun-ji said, "They still cheered for me a lot. They cheered a lot when I was accepted," and added, "In the past, when I knew nothing, I went on 'Stocking'. The writer told me to say, 'My parents were against it.' But now that I know, I would say, 'No, I can't lie,' but back then, being 20 years old, I thought, 'This is how it has to be.' So I said, 'My mom and dad had a really hard time, and the truth is that I have a debt of 10 million won.' Since then, people have been really worried and asked me about that. I had wanted to talk about this someday somewhere, so I'm very glad I could do it. It's the first time."
She later revealed the truth, saying, "In fact, they were really happy. They were really happy that I was going to Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts," and Jung Jae-hyung was surprised to hear, "Parents are open to that kind of thing." Lee Eun-ji responded, "We are completely a modern family," conveying a cheerful family atmosphere.
