Haha and Kim Jong-kook, who had previously experienced a bump in the road due to rumors of their meat restaurant's closure, have now drawn laughter again with news of a marriage.
In the SBS entertainment program 'Running Man' aired on Aug. 31, Haha was depicted unable to hide his shock as he clapped in mid-air at the news of Kim Jong-kook's marriage.
Kim Jong-kook confessed, "Actually, I didn't want to tell Haha until the end." In the past, Haha also informed Kim Jong-kook of the news right before his marriage. Kim Jong-kook had joked for 13 years that he would let Haha know through a news article, and Haha had reacted, "It's annoying." Ultimately, Kim Jong-kook executed his "revenge" after 13 years, bringing about laughter.
In response, Haha mentioned the meat restaurant they jointly operate, saying, "Our meat restaurant will do well. I will contribute to the household expenses," but Kim Jong-kook retorted, "No. My sister-in-law hates you the most," revealing that Haha was on the bride-to-be's blacklist, which turned the scene into a sea of laughter. It turns out there had been rumors about the meat restaurant's closure in the past.
Previously, Haha's rumors of his meat restaurant closure began from KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Boss's Ears are Donkeys' (Sadangui). At that time, when Haha said, "I will never do the meat restaurant again. I have closed two locations," misunderstandings arose that even the meat restaurant he co-owned with Kim Jong-kook had closed. Later, Haha clarified directly via SNS, saying, "We are not closed!" Kim Jong-kook brought this up again on 'Running Man' and sharply remarked, "Get it right," then playfully squirted water saying, "Why did you do that to me? Why did you leave 'Sadangui?' Why are you creating a problem?" adding to the laughter. He summoned the past rumors of the "meat restaurant closure." A furious Haha retorted, "We didn't close! There are still lines. Check it out at 'Jim Jong-kook'."
In the midst of this, Haha was heard muttering, "I need to have Shik-young introduce me to my sister-in-law. This is really great," adding, "I truly didn't know Kim Jong-kook had a girlfriend until last week," still unable to recover from his shock. However, he showed loyalty by adjusting his overseas filming schedule for the day of Kim Jong-kook's wedding.
