'Running Man' featured Kim Jong-kook sending a video letter to his former fiancée.
On Aug. 31, the broadcast of SBS 'Running Man' surprised members with a past video of Kim Jong-kook, who made a surprise announcement about his wedding.
Kim Jong-kook acknowledged his marriage by saying, "It happened. I will be getting married." Yoo Jae-suk urged, "Why are you wrapping this up loosely? You should talk about it yourself," and Kim Jong-kook formally greeted, "I will now get married. I will live hard and well."
Jiseok-jin asked, "Isn't half the crowd people who don't know?" Yoo Jae-suk shared his surprise, saying, "I just learned today. I thought Jong-kook wanted me to host because he was having a concert for his 30th anniversary this year. But it was really about marriage."
Kim Jong-kook will hold his wedding with a non-celebrity woman on Sept. 5. In this context, past scenes were recalled. When asked, "Don't you have a girlfriend?" Kim Jong-kook remained silent but responded to a surprise suggestion to leave a video message for "my woman" by saying, "Just wait a bit," as he left a message on camera. At that time, Jiseok-jin already remarked, "I had a feeling," and it ultimately became a reality.
Yoo Jae-suk also recalled that he had said to Kim Jong-kook, "If you're going to do this, just get married," reminiscing about the time when Kim Jong-kook was obsessed with cute props and key rings. The members burst into laughter, saying, "We thought he was just experiencing a midlife crisis, but it was a marriage signal."
Yoo Jae-suk further reflected, "When we visited Ye-eun's house, he showed a particular interest in the high-end wallpaper and decorations. Looking back now, it was all a signal." Haha joked, "I thought it was Ji Ye-eun's vibe, but actually, didn't your sister-in-law pick everything out?" making the scene burst into laughter.
