Singer Sean of Jinusean reported the condition of his damaged toenails after participating in a marathon.
On the 1st, Sean posted a photo on his social account with the caption, "It will be okay, Korea!" and "After completing 81.5 km on August 15, 2025, the glorious medal."
The photo showed both of Sean's feet. His toenails were bruised black, raised in several places, and showed signs of being broken. Despite this, Sean expressed that it was the "glorious medal."
Sean said, "Including the left big toenail, 4 of my toenails are raised, and the right big toenail and the second toenail are preparing to fall out," while still showing a positive attitude by saying, "But the other 4 are okay^^."
He added, "This year, on the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, I am just grateful to be able to do my best and write a thank-you letter for 81.5 km. 'Because it is something someone has to do.'"
Meanwhile, on August 15, Sean participated in the '2025 815 Run' event organized with Korea Habitat for Humanity to celebrate Liberation Day, completing the 81.5 km marathon in 7 hours, 50 minutes, and 22 seconds despite the heat. Additionally, he also took part in an extra 8.15 km run and performed on stage at a special concert, showcasing his steel-like stamina. A total of 2.38 billion won in donations was collected during this '815 Run' event, and the funds will be used for improving living conditions for the descendants of independence activists.
