Singer and actor Kim Yo-han explained the reason for his four-year gap as an actor since 'School 2021.'
On the 28th of last month, Kim Yo-han met OSEN at a café in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to conduct an interview about the conclusion of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Winning Try.'
Kim Yo-han announced his comeback after four years by appearing in SBS's 'The Winning Try,' which aired four years after KBS 2TV's 'School 2021' in 2021. He has also decided to participate in the movie 'Made in Itaewon,' which will begin filming this month.
In this regard, Kim Yo-han mentioned that he had been feeling anxious and nervous, saying, "I wasn't just resting; I was continuously acting. I was doing readings and had meetings, but things just didn't work out. There were about three times when it didn't happen in the end. Two to three years passed like that. As a result, I was pushing myself down to the bottom. I even began to dislike going out of the house."
He continued, "And when the project 'The Winning Try' came to me, at first, I honestly had no faith. I had been repeatedly rejected. I said I wouldn't know until I faced the camera. But the script was really interesting. I had a strong desire to do it, and since Seong-jun seemed to be in a similar situation, I empathized a lot and really wanted to play the character."
Kim Yo-han added, "Even when I went to the meeting, I prepared diligently for Seong-jun, and the director viewed me positively. So a lot of my anxiety and nervousness disappeared while filming. One more worry was that I was finally showing the acting I had continued doing for four years, which brought a big sense of excitement, but there was also worrying. However, I think it was more of a time to focus on my future life since the viewers seemed to enjoy it."
In particular, Kim Yo-han expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, "Every time an article came out, it felt like I was really torturing fans with hope. I felt very sorry and apologetic to my fans. When we were filming 'The Winning Try,' I asked the fans to wait a bit, and they only offered their support. I have been told that I am very happy these days, and it was touching. I feel sorry and grateful that I can finally make them happy. I will be active and show them my good side."
Kim Yo-han also talked about his future goals, saying, "I want to work hard on projects so that they don't become interrupted. Being interrupted is now scary. I want to work without interruptions, and my goal in 10 or 15 years is to be someone who can support others just as I am learning from my seniors now."
