Singer and broadcaster Kim Jong-kook has made it clear that he will not reveal his fiancée's identity even as he approaches marriage.
Kim Jong-kook discussed marriage-related topics on the SBS variety show "Running Man" that aired on the 31st of last month. On this day, Ji Suk-jin joked, "If you had been born earlier, you would have been in the independence army. You keep quiet and don't say anything until the last minute." To this, Kim Jong-kook laughed, saying, "If an article comes out on another day, I think I'll hang a placard on 'Running Man.'
Speculation about the identity of the fiancée continued. Ji Suk-jin asked, "Do I know the person?" to which Kim Jong-kook replied, "It's someone I don't know. They are not from the entertainment industry." Haha joked, "Aren't you marrying Chae-yeon noona?" and Kim Jong-kook angrily remarked, "Are you crazy?!" and then stated, "That's it! Don't do that anymore. It's over. It can't continue anymore," effectively blocking further dating rumors and fake news.
Additionally, Yoo Jae-suk questioned Kim Jong-kook, asking, "Are you filming that on 'My Little Old Boy'? Are you going to look at furniture and stuff like that?" Kim Jong-kook emphasized, "I'm not filming it! I'm not going to do it!" Yoo Jae-suk continued to express his doubts, saying, "Are you moving from 'My Little Old Boy' to 'Same Bed, Different Dreams'? 'Jim Jong-kook' is appearing, right?" Kim Jong-kook reiterated that he has no plans to reveal his fiancée.
Meanwhile, on this day, Yoo Jae-suk announced that he would host Kim Jong-kook's wedding. He said, "Actually, I have a recording that day. I thought it was for Kim Jong-kook's 30th anniversary concert, but it turns out it's for a wedding," adding, "I'll adjust my schedule to be there. Don't worry, I'll host it elegantly."
Earlier, on the 18th of last month, Kim Jong-kook posted a handwritten letter on his official fan café, personally sharing the news of his marriage. In the letter, he expressed, "Although it's quite late, how fortunate it is to be going this way," stating his determination to "make efforts to live well."
Kim Jong-kook's wedding will be held privately at a location in Seoul on the 5th.
