Coupang Play series 'Office Workers' (directed by Kim Min, Kang Na-ra) Season 2 brought laughter to viewers with Swings (Moon Ji-hoon's) outstanding performance perfectly blended into the situational play.
Coupang Play series 'Office Workers' Season 2 is a real office survival story unfolding within the psychological warfare of genuine employees at DY Planning dreaming of salary theft and leaving work on time along with star clients.
In Episode 4, as Swings, who is newly challenging to become an actor during a restructuring crisis, volunteered as a 'daily intern' to gain acting experience, there was an unprecedented barrage of laughter from DY Planning employees who united like never before, making it impossible for Swings to move. Swings entered the 'daily intern' experience with a spirited request, saying, 'I came to learn seriously, so please scold me comfortably.' However, when intern Shim Jae-yun (STAYC Yoon) treated him as the youngest and enforced discipline, he showed frustrating reactions as if he had a reality check, generating empathy from fresh graduates and hearty laughs.
Kim Won-hoon's 'playful skill' balanced on a tightrope added wings to Swings. The back-and-forth of Kim Won-hoon scratching Swings and Swings trying not to show that he was irritated provided heart-pounding laughter. The ad-lib fight between Kim Won-hoon and Swings, reminiscent of an intense showdown, prompted employees to fail at stifling their laughter, stealing laughs from viewers. As employees launched an ad-lib attack intersected with the reality and situational comedy directed at Swings, Shindong-yeob, who was watching Swings, repeatedly urged restraint, creating a unique situation that caused eruptions of laughter.
Swings, who challenged the first-ever 'new employee welcome kit' presentation at DY Planning, created a fascinating comedic scene with a subtle psychological battle as employees kept a hawkish eye on him, providing both carrots and sticks. Swings reached a level of improvisation that confused the line between acting and reality, dominating the veteran employees of improvised acting.
Every time the confrontation between Kim Won-hoon and Swings intensified, 'Director General' Baek Hyun-jin's excessive passion for comedy, unable to take a step back, made both the employees and viewers burst into laughter. Because of Baek Hyun-jin's eagerness for jokes, the situational play seamlessly transitioned into reality, bringing joy to the employees. Additionally, Shim Jae-yun's playful display, which added the character of 'MZ intern's old-timer mentality' alongside the appearance of 'new intern' Swings, created laughter at the right moments, exciting anticipation for her character development. Moreover, Swings, in his role as a 'real boss' with over 20 employees, sparked empathy among genuine employees who dreamt of moving jobs while secretly working behind the scenes, Ji Ye-eun and Cha Jung-won (Car The Garden).
With increasingly upgraded guest appearances and a parade of ad-libs, Coupang Play series 'Office Workers' Season 2 strikes a blow of laughter to viewers and is released every Saturday at 8 p.m. only on Coupang Play.
