Actor Ko Kyung-pyo expressed disappointment over the news that the Jamwon Hangang Park swimming pool will close next year, but he felt relieved after receiving a response from the Seoul city stating it is not true.
On the 31st of last month, Ko Kyung-pyo shared on his social media account, "It has been enjoyable. Jamwon Hangang swimming pool. According to what I've heard, the Jamwon Hangang swimming pool will soon undergo remodeling and will no longer be an adult pool," adding, "I sincerely hope this is not true, but it is sad. I wish I could know the reason."
However, an internet user commented that the Jamwon Hangang Park swimming pool is undergoing remodeling due to facility aging, and that facilities for adult users will also be maintained.
Ko Kyung-pyo also shared the response he received from the Seoul city regarding the civil complaint, stating, "They will not remove the adult (pool)." According to this, the Seoul city explained, "The Jamwon Hangang Park swimming pool, established in 1989, has undergone over 30 years of aging, leading to decreased user satisfaction and excessive maintenance costs, prompting the design of reconstruction work for the pool."
He tagged the official Seoul city account and said, "I hope it becomes a remodeling where I can swim again."
