Actor Park Hee-soon has shed the heaviness and embraced comedy.
On the 1st, a production presentation for TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series 'Confidence Man KR' (written by Hong Seung-hyun and directed by Nam Ki-hoon) was held at Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
'Confidence Man KR' showcases three con artists with versatile skills who embark on a quest for revenge against the villains of this era. With a thrilling storyline that cleverly exploits the flaws of the social system, it heralds the birth of a 'K-caper' that humorously twists the grammar of existing crime genres. Given that the original 'Confidence Man JP' was also released as a movie in Japan and aired as part of a special project commemorating the 60th anniversary of Fuji Television, there is interest in whether the Korean remake version, which promises the performances of various actors, can lead to domestic success.
Director Nam Ki-hoon, known for his explosive directorial skills across genres from major works like 'Casino', 'Kiss Sixth Sense', and 'Oh My Baby' to romantic comedies, collaborates with writer Hong Seung-hyun, recognized for his sensuous writing in 'Criminal Mind' and 'Cheo Yong 1, 2'.
Park Hee-soon, who has garnered love from various age groups for his unparalleled acting skills across genres and earned the nickname 'idol of the Heavens' through works like 'My Name', 'Squid Game 2, 3', 'Moving', and 'Trolley', will take on the role of the chic gentleman James. Park Hee-soon is expected to captivate viewers in their homes with James' classic charm, combining diverse sensibilities and humor that instantly captivates.
