The stars of August K-MUSIC, including TOMORROW X TOGETHER, BTS, and Lee Chan-won, have been revealed.
The global standard K-pop chart 'KM Chart' announced the results of the August monthly chart on its official website on the 31st of last month. Artists from various generations and genres ranked on the chart, showcasing the diversity of K-pop.
First, the top position in the K-MUSIC (streaming) institutional sector is occupied by TOMORROW X TOGETHER's 'Beautiful Strangers'. 'Beautiful Strangers' is a hip-hop genre song with a trap rhythm, capturing global music fans with its refined melody and the team's unique youth narrative. Following are BLACKPINK's 'Jump', aespa's 'Dirty Work', Lee Chan-won's 'Sky Journey', and Lim Young-woong's 'Warmth' in the TOP 5.
In the K-MUSIC ARTIST (artist) institutional sector, V (BTS) ranked first, followed by Stray Kids (2nd), aespa (3rd), Lee Chan-won (4th), All Day Project (5th), TOMORROW X TOGETHER (6th), Lim Young-woong (7th), Young-tak (8th), THE BOYZ (9th), and IVE (10th) making up the top ranks.
In HOT CHOICE (popularity), in the male sector, Lee Chan-won topped the chart again following last month, with Lim Young-woong (2nd), RM (BTS) (3rd), Jang Min-ho (4th), Kang Daniel (5th), n.SSign (6th), V (BTS) (7th), Jin (BTS) (8th), Jimin (BTS) (9th), and Jung Kook (BTS) (10th) following behind. In the female sector, Dreamcatcher ranked first. Following were Hwasa (2nd), aespa (3rd), (G)I-DLE (4th), EXY (5th), IVE (6th), ITZY (7th), NMIXX (8th), OH MY GIRL (9th), and Seulgi (Red Velvet) (10th) in the TOP 10.
In the ROOKIE (new artist) male sector, AHOF topped the chart, followed by Close Your Eyes (2nd), ILLIT (3rd), NouerA (4th), NEXZ (5th), NOWZ (6th), NEWBEAT (7th), RIIZE (8th), SEVENTOEIGHT (9th), and Big Ocean (10th) with their names on the ranking.
Additionally, the top spot in the ROOKIE female sector went to UNIS. Following were Hearts2Hearts (2nd), ILLIT (3rd), BABYMONSTER (4th), SAY MY NAME (5th), ifeye (6th), cosmosy (7th), USPEER (8th), Baby DONT Cry (9th), and HITGS (10th) trailing behind.
