Singer and actor Kim Yohan expressed his pride in the popularity of "Try."
Kim Yohan met with OSEN at a cafe in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 28th of last month for an interview following the conclusion of the SBS drama "Try: We Become a Miracle."
In "Try," Kim Yohan, as the captain responsible for the underperforming Hanyang High School rugby team, demonstrated a miracle by enduring a crisis and ultimately achieving victory in the national sports festival for the first time in 15 years. In particular, by showing a love triangle with his first love Seo Woo-jin (played by Park Jung-yeon) along with a budding romance, he garnered expectations for his future acting transformation.
On that day, when Kim Yohan was asked if he expected the rising ratings and consistent favorable reviews, he said, "Honestly, when we were filming, no matter how interesting the script was, since I didn't know the editing, I thought I'd only really know after the drama was released. I was just believing what the staff and my seniors told me – that it would be fun."
He continued, "I was really nervous when the first episode aired. I was quite worried, but when I woke up the next day and checked the ratings, I saw that many people liked it, and the ratings were good, which was thrilling."
What does he think is the secret to the show's popularity? Kim Yohan speculated, "I heard that a sports youth growth story has come out after a long time. There might be a bit of frustration, but I think the processes of moving forward had some healing moments. Even I felt my heart swell during the matches. I believe that it resonated with the viewers as well."
