On the 30th (Saturday) at 10 p.m., the 9th episode of MBC weekend drama 'Mary Kills People' (planned by Kwon Seong-chang/directed by Park Joon-woo/written by Lee Soo-ah/produced by Mister Romance, Moving Pictures Company, Studio Anza Ilene) captured Woo So-jung (played by Lee Bo-young) becoming shocked by the decision to stop supporting the death of her steadfast ally Choi Dae-hyun (Kang Ki-young) while facing a crisis trapped in Dae-hyun's scheme. In particular, after being threatened by the drug dealer Koo Kwang-cheol (Baek Hyun-jin), Dae-hyun caused a major twist by voluntarily proposing collaboration with the police after So-jung did not stop the support for death.
In the drama, Dae-hyun was seriously injured after being hit by Koo Kwang-cheol, who was enraged when he secretly took the remaining Benfona from the wealthy Jin Young-soo (Kim Gwang-sik) after carrying out the supported death of Choi Geon-soo (Kang Ki-doong), the twin brother of Choi Ye-na (Yoon Gai). Seeing the pitiful state of Dae-hyun, who was brought to the emergency room, So-jung was filled with shock, and she called out to Koo Kwang-cheol, saying, "You almost killed Dae-hyun because of you! If you want to kill, kill me instead," exploding with rage. Koo Kwang-cheol, claiming to be a victim of stolen drugs, tried to persuade her to work with him, but So-jung warned fiercely, saying, "I won't work with a human like you. If you touch anyone around me even once again, you and I are both going to die."
In the meantime, Ban Ji-hoon (Lee Min-ki) tracked So-jung's location and went to the funeral home where Geon-soo had passed away, discovering an ambulance and suspecting So-jung. So-jung expressed her displeasure at being treated as a suspect, saying, "If someone dies around me, is it all my fault?" and explained that Geon-soo had collapsed during a performance, but Ji-hoon did not alleviate his suspicion of So-jung.
Later, So-jung recalled the supporting deaths she had experienced with Dae-hyun, who was in a coma, and felt guilty, saying she was sorry for causing him harm. At that moment, when Dae-hyun woke up, So-jung was overwhelmed with tears, and Dae-hyun suggested stopping the support for death, saying, "I think we should stop. It's too dangerous. Let's stop." Afterward, Dae-hyun was moved to Maria Welfare Hospital, where the priest Yang Shin-bu (Kwon Hae-hyo) had been, and considering the threats he heard at the accident site and Yang's plea to "Please help Woo," he repeatedly fell into thought.
At the same time, Ban Ji-hoon discovered that the owner of the building Dae-hyun had visited on the day Geon-soo died, Chin Young-soo, had also passed away. Ji-hoon figured that Dae-hyun must have been involved in Chin's death, but he could not get a response. He felt suspicious as Chin's building had gone to Koo Kwang Asset Management. In addition, he went to meet Koo Kwang-cheol alone despite being told by police detective Ahn Tae-sung (Kim Tae-woo) not to mess with Koo, as Detective Bu Hyung-sar (Tae Hang-ho) had said. Ji-hoon asked Koo about Dae-hyun, deceased Kim Si-hyun, lawmaker Baek Dong-hoon, and Ahn Tae-sung, saying that Koo knew Baek and Ahn, triggering his investigative instincts.
During that time, Dae-hyun, whose anxiety exploded, reached a panic state, insisting that it had all been wrong from the beginning and stated, "No matter what good reason is given, it's just murder," completely denying the support for death and pouring out resentment towards So-jung, who was shocked by this. Dae-hyun was angered, saying that involving her meant that he and Choi Ye-na would also die, "I want to stop living anxiously connected to you. If you continue, don't ever contact me again," while So-jung sighed and felt despondent.
Moreover, when Dae-hyun was threatened again at Yang Shin-bu's hospital under the pretext of a donation, he called lawyer Ryu Yi-soo (Seo Young-hee) to say that he would infiltrate the death support scene that So-jung was preparing with a wiretap, stating, "The guy who supplied me with drugs is threatening to kill me. I can't protect So-jung," implying that he would become a trap. Dae-hyun emphasized the supporting death, saying, "Mr. Park Tae-hyung needs our help more than anyone we've helped so far," to which So-jung pointed out, "Even if you oppose it, it won't matter. I'm nervous. I'm going with you," expressing a rapid change of heart that puzzled So-jung.
Meanwhile, Ryu Yi-soo visited Ban Ji-hoon and Detective Bu, asking that they handle "So-jung as the main culprit and Dae-hyun as an accomplice," conveying Dae-hyun's intention to be punished and organized because he was being threatened by the person who supplied him drugs. Dae-hyun, fearful, had even worn a stab-proof vest, pledging to keep the agreement with a wiretap and camera on, while Ji-hoon promised, "I will definitely keep the promise," further amplifying the suspicions. Subsequently, So-jung visited Park Tae-hyung (Ha Seong-kwang) and his wife Bae Mi-young's (Woo Mi-hwa) house, and followed by Dae-hyun's arrival. However, while the police were watching through the camera attached to Dae-hyun, he abruptly received a phone call, his face turning pale as he started to unbutton his clothes. The scene where shocked So-jung witnessed Dae-hyun with the wiretap and Dae-hyun looking at So-jung heightened the tension.
