The trio of single mothers moved viewers with a special sense of empathy on MBN's 'Let's Go Go.' The episode aired on the 30th features actress Park Eun-hye, Jeong Ga-eun, and Yul-hee, who shared their lives as single mothers raising children alone in a cheerful and candid manner, making the audience both laugh and cry.
MCs Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee took the taxi driven by Jeong Ga-eun, who made a surprise transformation into a taxi driver, to Park Eun-hye's house. Jeong Ga-eun, who obtained her taxi driver's license with the determination to do whatever work comes her way as a single mother, recently surprised everyone by sharing her experience of driving a taxi.
Next, Yul-hee, who joined the taxi as the second guest, is a single mother who got married at the young age of 20 and is raising three children. She has recently touched the public by challenging a marathon. Jeong Ga-eun expressed her feelings by saying, "I missed you so much," and Yul-hee also replied, "I feel the same. I grew up watching 'Roller Coaster.'" Yul-hee shared her excitement by saying, "I've heard many times since elementary school that I resemble my sister (Jeong Ga-eun)," to which Jeong Ga-eun candidly responded, "We may look alike, but why do we end up resembling each other's lives?" making everyone laugh.
The MCs, Jeong Ga-eun, and Yul-hee arrived at the home of actress Park Eun-hye, who is a nine-year single mother raising her child. Surprised by the two entrance doors, the MCs, Jeong Ga-eun, and Yul-hee were amazed when they saw Park Eun-hye's storage filled with camping gear before the actual house tour. The camping enthusiast Park Eun-hye revealed that she has as many as eight tents, leaving the MCs surprised as they remarked, "The image is completely luxurious, but this is unexpected." Park Eun-hye responded, "Luxury vacations are boring," sharing her unique love for camping.
Following that, the MCs, Jeong Ga-eun, and Yul-hee were impressed as they explored Park Eun-hye's simple and spacious home. Particularly, when they saw the new paintings displayed in the house, the MCs asked, "Does your child like birds?" Park Eun-hye replied, "I only draw birds. I can name all types of birds in the world." Hearing this, Yul-hee noted, "When my sons get fixated on something, they delve deep. The first child became obsessed with national flags," building a connection as a mother raising children.
Moreover, the three shared various episodes, from their children's love stories to stories about their children entering puberty, their sons' perspectives on their mothers, and discussions on their children's personalities, bringing smiles to one another.
After that, the MCs, along with Jeong Ga-eun and Yul-hee, went to Park Eun-hye's studio filled with scripts, where they admired the script for the beloved drama 'Dae Jang Geum.' Park Eun-hye stated, "It was all in a set, but back in the day, it was auctioned off to help the underprivileged in China," adding, "It cost about 10 million won per copy," which astonished everyone.
After finishing the house tour, the MCs and the trio of single mothers continued their conversation over a meal while discussing their hobbies, including camping and marathon running. They asked Jeong Ga-eun, "I feel like you might turn to drinking when times are tough," to which Jeong Ga-eun gave an enigmatic smile. Park Eun-hye noted, "Jeong Ga-eun doesn't drink much," adding, "She is amazing. Whenever we go camping or somewhere fun, we drink, but she doesn't because she worries about her child possibly needing to go to the hospital," capturing everyone with her strong maternal instincts.
Subsequently, the MCs asked the single mothers, "How did you explain the divorce to your children?" Park Eun-hye responded, "One day, I think they just naturally come to know about it," mentioning, "They sometimes ask me instead of directly. They even ask the teachers who come to our house," revealing her thoughts. She continued, "The kids are observant. Even if I try to explain, how am I supposed to put it in a nice way?" She gave an example, saying, "If I say that mom and dad broke up because our personalities clashed too much, then in social life if someone doesn't get along with another person, they also might choose to avoid that person," highlighting the difficult situation.
Yul-hee also mentioned, "Since the twins are too young, I didn't feel the need to explain. However, the eldest one asked, 'Mom, why are you living separately?' so I felt I had to explain." She said, "So I told my child, 'Mom and Dad still love you, and as your dad, I still love you, and your dad also still loves your mom as your mom,'" honestly sharing her thoughts about divorce.
Jeong Ga-eun shared, "Since I lived with my parents, it saddened me to hear my mom say 'Honey' to my dad in front of me. I felt heartbroken every time I used the word 'Dad' in front of my daughter, so now I say 'Grandpa.'" As she conveyed her painful story, tears flowed, touching everyone's hearts.
