Actor Kim Min-jae transforms into independence activist Yoon Bong-gil.
Kim Min-jae plays the role of the main character Yoon Bong-gil in the UHD documentary drama 'My Friend Yoon Bong-gil,' which airs at 1:05 p.m. on KBS 1TV on the 30th.
'My Friend Yoon Bong-gil' is a documentary to honor the life and spirit of independence activist Yoon Bong-gil. After completing his military service in March, Kim Min-jae is gaining attention for choosing this work as his comeback project on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of liberation.
This year, on the 80th anniversary of liberation, Kim Min-jae had a strong will to commemorate it while not forgetting the pain of losing the country. He felt a heavy responsibility beyond just taking on a role, dealing with a historical figure like Yoon Bong-gil, and he did his best to convey that significance more deeply during filming.
In particular, Kim Min-jae made many efforts to participate in this project even before filming began, leaving a deep impression on the production crew with his serious attitude and dedicated approach. He aimed to express the spirit of Yoon Bong-gil from a modern perspective while understanding the importance of history, and it is said that he engaged in much contemplation and research during the process. Kim Min-jae's efforts are expected to shine in the work and move many viewers.
