Actress Go Minsi strongly denied allegations of school violence once again. This comes about three months after the allegations first surfaced.
On the morning of the 30th, Go Minsi posted a lengthy message on her social media service (SNS), mentioning the controversy and investigation that lasted for several months, and expressed her feelings. She said, "While waiting for the investigation results for several months, I gathered my thoughts dozens of times a day," and added, "I believed it was my duty to clarify my position for those who can no longer wait."
Go Minsi further emphasized, "I am someone who was fully aware that I was a student who enjoyed deviation and spent my school years recklessly," stating, "I have walked this path, regretting my shortcomings and striving for a better life. However, there is absolutely no reason to bear the stigma of being labeled due to an imperfect past."
This comes as a result of school violence allegations raised in an online community back in May. Regarding this, Go Minsi's representatives denied the claims, stating they were "completely unfounded." However, individuals claiming to be victims urged for a statement, presenting specific instances of physical violence, extortion, teasing, and threats against multiple peers during middle school.
In this context, through this post, Go Minsi drew the line by saying, "I can assert that there is absolutely no fact that I committed school violence," and that "Aside from the anonymous community posts by those claiming to be victims, there is no clear evidence confirming the existence of any school violence." She also added, "I will submit all evidence proving I am not the perpetrator while the investigation is ongoing, and I will not stop until the truth is revealed regarding the false accusations."
Go Minsi stated, "Since the issue of school violence is a serious social problem, it must be strictly punished," but also noted, "Using it maliciously to obscure the essence is an act that hinders true problem resolution." Finally, she emphasized, "I hope everyone understands the cruelty of the internet society that hastily concludes falsehoods as truths. The truth will definitely be revealed."
Meanwhile, Go Minsi's recent drama "Tastefully Yours" made headlines by entering the top 10 on Netflix in 53 countries, but due to the school violence controversy, her end-of-broadcast interview was not arranged, and she exited a new drama she was scheduled to appear in.
