The Korea Enterprise Reputation Research Institute analyzed 260,436,228 star brand big data collected between July 30, 2025, and August 30, 2025, through consumer behavior analysis to measure the engagement index, media index, communication index, and community index for star brands. Compared to the 253,784,931 star brand big data from last July, this represents an increase of 2.62%.
The star brand reputation analysis is a big data reputation algorithm analysis of the brands ranked high in reputation among entertainers, singers, trot singers, drama actors, movie actors, boy groups, girl groups, and sports figures to analyze their relationship with consumers.
The August 2025 star brand reputation ranking for the top 30 includes Son Heung-min, BTS, Lim Young-woong, BLACKPINK, Kim Jong-kook, Psy, Yoo Jae-suk, IVE, Red Velvet, Lee Soo-ji, TWICE, Lee Jung-hoo, Lee Byung-hun, SEVENTEEN, Faker, Ma Dong-seok, SHINee, Byeon Wooseok, Kim Yong-bin, Lee Jong-seok, Lee Jung-jae, Big Bang, Cha Eun-woo, Lee Min-ho, Lee Jin-wook, aespa, Kang Ho-dong, NCT, Jun Hyun-moo, Kim Nam-gil.
The Son Heung-min brand, which recorded first place in star brand reputation, achieved an engagement index of 2,764,523, a media index of 3,780,209, a communication index of 4,280,830, and a community index of 4,727,756, leading to a brand reputation index of 15,553,318. This is an increase of 288.10% compared to the brand reputation index of 4,007,571 from last July.
In second place, the BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) brand achieved an engagement index of 174,127, a media index of 2,260,003, a communication index of 3,621,541, and a community index of 4,236,889, leading to a brand reputation index of 10,292,560. This is a 41.66% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 7,265,521 from last July.
In third place, the Lim Young-woong brand achieved an engagement index of 770,899, a media index of 1,614,344, a communication index of 2,936,513, and a community index of 2,431,649, leading to a brand reputation index of 7,753,405. This is a 1.76% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 7,619,247 from last July.
In fourth place, the BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) brand achieved an engagement index of 203,377, a media index of 1,211,650, a communication index of 2,572,038, and a community index of 2,873,827, leading to a brand reputation index of 6,860,892. This represents a decrease of 40.07% compared to the brand reputation index of 11,448,025 from last July.
In fifth place, the Kim Jong-kook brand achieved an engagement index of 1,681,333, a media index of 1,330,184, a communication index of 1,616,091, and a community index of 1,518,645, leading to a brand reputation index of 6,146,253. This is a 107.06% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,968,365 from last July.
