Singer Lim Young-woong prevented his junior Jeon Jong-hyuk from leaving work.
During the broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs: Lim Young-woong and Friends' Part 1 on the afternoon of the 30th, Lim Young-woong appeared alongside No Brain, Jeon Jong-hyuk, and Lee Jeok to share stories.
On this day, 'trot rising star' Jeon Jong-hyuk appeared as Lim Young-woong's second friend. Jeon Jong-hyuk is a trot singer and a former soccer player, currently serving as a goalkeeper for 'Returns FC,' a team owned by Lim Young-woong.
Jeon Jong-hyuk appeared singing Lim Young-woong's mega hit song 'Believe in Me Now.' Jeon Jong-hyuk said, "I am so honored to be invited to 'Immortal Songs,' which seemed like a dream. I am Jeon Jong-hyuk, the goalkeeper and trot singer from 'Returns.'"
Shin Dong-yeop noted, "He really seems to be a beloved younger brother. Lim Young-woong's expression while he was singing looked like that of an older brother and a father." Lim Young-woong added, "He sang so well that I was captivated. He sang his heart out from beginning to end. Well done."
Lim Young-woong spoke about his relationship with Jeon Jong-hyuk, saying, "We both love soccer so much. Since our teammates are friends who play together, it naturally turned into a team. That's where the rumor about me being a club owner came from."
However, Jeon Jong-hyuk said, "He is actually the club owner," explaining, "Originally, the team called 'Returns FC' was just for casual soccer, but because Hyung (older brother) Young-woong said we should do it properly, we created a soccer league and are playing games, also providing equipment support from his own pocket. Frankly speaking, the support is better than that of the second division."
Lim Young-woong revealed, "Before becoming a singer, I was actually a soccer player. When Jeon Jong-hyuk mentioned he was going to do trot, I thought, I have to bring him in for sure. I wanted to play soccer together, aside from singing. The most important thing in our team is character, so I did a little test to see if they would stay for the entire dinner gathering. It made everyone laugh."
Shin Dong-yeop agreed, saying, "That's very important," while Lee Chan-won laughed, saying, "It's exactly the same as the conditions for appearing on 'Immortal Songs.'" Jeon Jong-hyuk commented, "That was an astonishing test. I was under an interpersonal test for a month. They were supposed to give me a uniform, but didn't. I was curious about the criteria, and now I finally understand it."
Lim Young-woong mentioned that the test period varies for each player. He said, "Some friends are introverted and tend to leave early from gatherings, even though they are good at soccer. Those friends can take 6 months to pass." Shin Dong-yeop jokingly said, "Hearing about character makes me want to join too."
As Jeon Jong-hyuk finished his last song and it was time to leave, Lim Young-woong asked, "Since we are doing this together, can I stay until the end?" Lee Chan-won emphasized, "Since he is a club owner, he must stay until the end." Kim Jun-hyun remarked, "I totally understand his feelings, but why do I feel like I'm being held back?" Lim Young-woong teased, "You weren't planning on going home right now, were you?" making everyone laugh.
