Comedian Lee Kyung-sil revealed her honest feelings about the disregard some actors have for entertainers.
Recently, on the channel 'Rolling Thunder,' the content 'New Women' featured Lee Kyung-sil, Jo Hye-ryun, and Lee Seon-min discussing moments of disappointment they experienced in the broadcast industry.
Lee Kyung-sil stated, 'When you first begin, if you gain popularity in entertainment, you receive opportunities in drama as well. Therefore, when doing entertainment programs, it's natural to seek help from seniors and have one currency conversation. However, some actors act as if they are unrelated to entertainment.'
This mentioned the past entertainment programs that served as a process for actors' introduction, expressing disappointment at the indifference of actors who became famous afterward.
Lee Seon-min then referenced the controversy during the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2021. She explained, 'When Senior Yoo Jae-suk received the grand prize in the TV sector, some actors quietly clapped. Compared to the atmosphere when Director Lee Joon-ik received the prize in the film sector, where most people stood up and applauded, it was very different.'
Recalling this, Jo Hye-ryun agreed, saying, 'Yeah, it was somewhat upsetting.' Lee Kyung-sil reflected on that time with a puzzled expression, asking, 'Did everyone get numb hands?'
Through this broadcast, senior comedians such as Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun expressed disappointment at some actors' attitudes toward national MC Yoo Jae-suk, sending a message that the role and respect for entertainers in the broadcast industry are still important.
