The group MONSTA X successfully completed their first full solo concert in Japan.
MONSTA X (Shawoon, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, IM) held their solo concert '2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X' at the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan, on the 27th and 28th.
As this was their first concert in Japan in about six years, the local Monbebe (official fan club) showed great interest, and MONSTA X provided unforgettable moments through various activities and performances while communicating closely with fans.
Amid the enthusiastic cheers from the audience that filled the venue, MONSTA X appeared with a grand band intro, starting with 'BEASTMODE,' followed by 'Trespass' and 'FOLLOW,' showcasing a solid performance.
Greeting fans they hadn't seen in a long time, MONSTA X added to the excitement by explaining the significance of this performance and key points, demonstrating their live band capabilities as they overwhelmed the concert hall with richer sounds from 'WHO DO U LOVE?' to 'U R' and 'Dumhwawi.' In particular, 'Dumhwawi,' presented for the first time in Japan, elevated the atmosphere with deep emotions and MONSTA X's unique performance.
Additionally, to celebrate MONSTA X's 10th anniversary, a 'CONNECT Q' corner was arranged for interactions with fans. The members conducted quizzes recalling memories from the past 10 years, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere. MONSTA X brought laughter and emotion with various questions such as episodes from their first Japanese tour in 2018, music video guessing, and arranging album cover sequences, even reenacting past album covers on the spot to add meaning.
As the concert heated up during the corner with Monbebe, MONSTA X unveiled 'Fire & Ice,' a track from their upcoming mini-album 'THE X,' set to be released on Sept. 1, and which is Hyungwon's self-composed song, eliciting warm reactions from fans. They also shared insights about the recently released music video for the pre-release track 'Do What I Want' and offered teaser spoilers on the new album, generating anticipation for their upcoming comeback.
Creating even more special moments with fans by connecting through Jooheon's self-composed song 'By My Side' and the title track of their seventh Japanese single 'Wish On The Same Sky,' MONSTA X engaged directly with the audience, further elevating the exciting atmosphere before concluding the stage with boundless passion and energy by performing 'ZONE,' 'Rodeo,' and 'Fallin'' in a continuous loop.
Through their agency Starship Entertainment, MONSTA X expressed, "Although it was our first concert in Japan in a long time, we were able to enjoy the stage even more thanks to the warm support and passionate cheers. Performing for two days while celebrating our 10th anniversary and being able to take the stage as MONSTA X together was a source of happiness and gratitude. We will strive to repay Monbebe with great performances and music. I will use the energy gained from this concert as motivation for the upcoming activities of our soon-to-be-released new album 'THE X,' so please look forward to and support us."
MONSTA X will return on Sept. 1 with their new album 'THE X' and the title track 'N the Front.'
