SHINee member Key shed tears during a broadcast recording. After confirming he had achieved 1st place on a music show following his solo comeback, he cried in Taeyeon's embrace.
Recently, on the YouTube channel of the cable channel tvN's entertainment program 'Amazing Saturday,' a pre-released video titled "Breaking news that made Key cry during the filming of 'Amazing Saturday'?! Congratulations to the professional genius Key for his No. 1 hit 'Hunter'" was released.
In the released video, Key suddenly burst into tears while conducting a snack game segment. After correctly answering a question, Key checked his phone while eating a snack and then gasped in surprise, covering his mouth with his hand. Taeyeon, sitting next to him, also exclaimed, "Oh my!" in surprise.
Seeing Key's shocked expression, MC Boom asked, "What's wrong, Key?" Key struggled to speak, but quietly told Taeyeon, "I got 1st place," revealing his tears. Key cried in Taeyeon's arms, and Taeyeon shared the news with the other members, saying, "Key has achieved 1st place on a music show."
Then, the members of 'Amazing Saturday' applauded and congratulated Key. Boom explained the situation, saying, "I couldn't participate in the live broadcast because of 'Amazing Saturday,' but I came after pre-recording." Key took out a tissue to wipe his tears, showing his emotional state.
Key then apologized, saying, "I found out while secretly looking at my phone. I'm sorry," as he wiped his tears. Boom helped him to his feet to celebrate his 1st place win, arranging the other participants behind Key as if in a music show. Key expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you," while bowing his head and showing his joy. The members also applauded and congratulated him once again.
Key previously achieved 1st place with his solo song 'Hunter' on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' broadcast on 22nd. He was not present to hear the announcement of his 1st place due to the recording schedule but was visibly moved when he learned the news later. The taped segment will air on September 13, and the production team released the video as an 'emergency pre-release' to celebrate Key's achievement.
