On the 29th, according to his agency Pledis Entertainment, THE 8 released his new song "Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)" through the music platform SODA MUSIC under Douyin (抖音) at 11 a.m. that day. This track will also be available on major domestic and international music platforms such as Melon, Genie, Spotify, and YouTube starting from the 30th.
"Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)" is a song that expresses the speaker's perspective recalling memories of falling in love. THE 8 participated in writing and composing this song, inspired by starry skies and shooting stars. The sound, which combines electronic music and R&B elements, meshes with emotional vocals to create a wistful and dreamy atmosphere. The rapper GALI, who gained attention by placing 3rd on the Chinese hip-hop competition show "Rap of China 2020 (新唱2020)," features on the track.
THE 8 collaborated with Douyin (抖音), the largest short-form video platform in China, and the UK-based global fashion and culture magazine Wonderland to create "Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)." Known for excelling in dance, singing, as well as art and fashion, he is expected to showcase his all-encompassing artistry through this new song.
The cover image released alongside features THE 8 surrounded by starlight, exuding a fantastic aura. The striking visual contrast of light and darkness adds an artistic and mysterious mood. Later, a concept short in the form of a music film will also be unveiled.

With the release of the new song, his participation in a major local music festival has also been announced. THE 8 will perform as the headliner on the final day of the "YJ (Yue Jian Chao Xiang/月见潮响) music festival," which will take place in Beijing, China, on September 20 and 21. This marks his first festival stage as a solo artist. Approximately 60,000 spectators are expected to attend over the two days.
