Actress Lee Si-young challenges herself to a marathon during her second pregnancy, just as she did when she was pregnant with her first son.
Lee Si-young said on her social media on the 28th, 'I'm going to the Sydney Marathon.' She explained, 'I have been diligently doing prenatal exercises (especially burning out my lower body), have been consistently running, I got permission from my obstetrician, and I'm also going with my conditioning coach who will accompany me through the marathon process.'
She added, 'When I was pregnant with Jung-yun, I participated in the marathon three times, even running a half marathon, but this time it's not a half marathon; I'm participating in the Sydney 10km, so I will lightly (?) run and come back. While I'm at it, I plan to travel with Jung-yun, so I'm also posting my travel outfit.'
As she mentioned, Lee Si-young previously participated in a half marathon during her sixth month of pregnancy with her first son in 2017. At that time, Lee Si-young completed a half marathon at the 2017 Peace and Unification Marathon held at Imjingak Peace Park in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.
Lee Si-young also revealed a photo of the medal she received for completing the half marathon. In the published photo, Lee Si-young confidently holds the medal with a proud smile, showing her bare face.
Lee Si-young said, 'There were not enough toilets, so I struggled at the end, but I still completed the half marathon safely,' adding, 'Thank you. Now I have two medals, including one for Yun. I felt good, and my stomach didn't hurt.'
Later, she also ran a marathon during her seventh month of pregnancy with her first child. She said, 'After finishing the marathon, my time improved significantly. My body is getting lighter. If I go to Runstagram, it will become a path. Fighting.. now 7 months. Yun fighting.'
Meanwhile, Lee Si-young married businessman Jo Seung-hyun in 2017 and gave birth to his son, Jung-yun. She is currently pregnant with her second child. Lee Si-young revealed that she is carrying her second child after not discarding the embryo from the in vitro fertilization procedures conducted during her marriage and has completed the divorce process with Jo Seung-hyun, currently in her eighth month.
