The main character of the Broadway musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending,' writer Park Cheon-hyu, reveals the daily life of Kian84 and another real New Yorker.
In today's (29th) episode of MBC's variety show 'Home Alone,' the daily life of Park Cheon-hyu, who swept the 78th Tony Awards with the Korean original musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending,' is revealed, along with Kian84 spending a crazy 'Miracle Day.'
In the video released before the broadcast, writer Park Cheon-hyu is seen heading to Broadway while passing through Times Square in New York. He reveals that he came to study in the U.S. at the age of 25 and has been living independently for 18 years. Addressing Park Na-rae, who exclaimed, 'I thought he was your younger brother, but he is actually two years older,' Park Cheon-hyu responds, 'I was surprised because she is so beautiful.'
Watching writer Park Cheon-hyu walking confidently through the streets of New York, Kian84 admires, 'It's a familiar place; New Yorkers are cool.' When Code Kunst teases Kian84 about his New York marathon, saying, 'You are the one associated with New York,' Kian84 jokes, 'Many Koreans live in New York.' Additionally, seeing Park Cheon-hyu blending into the New York streets, Jeon Hyun-moo exclaims, 'Why is Kian so different?' eliciting laughter.
Writer Park Cheon-hyu smiles as he sees the long line of audience members in front of the Belasco Theatre, the performance venue of the Broadway musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending.' He opens the stage door, accessible only to actors and staff, and enters backstage. The backstage area showcases the actors' dressing rooms, the stage manager's calling room, and the staff spaces being prepared for the 'Maybe a Happy Ending' performance, drawing attention.
Next, writer Park Cheon-hyu, looking tense, visits the performance hall and gazes at the audience seating filled with viewers. The seating area packed with audience also leaves the rainbow members astonished. Park Cheon-hyu beams, stating, 'The reservation rate has exceeded 100%,' noting that it has reached 103% when including standing seats. Park Cheon-hyu is widely promoting 'K-culture' with the Korean original musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending' on the revered stage of Broadway. The sight of the moment fills the heart with grandeur and attracts attention to his New York life.
Meanwhile, Kian84's 'Miracle Day' begins with a dawn run along the Han River. He takes on the dawn run with running masters including singer Sean, Lee Young-pyo, and legendary marathon athlete Kwon Eun-joo, completing the 15 kilometers with a final sprint.
In contrast to Kian84, who is drenched in sweat and exhausted, the running masters are full of energy, prompting the rainbow members to express their admiration. Ki and Park Na-rae say, 'I feel like I wouldn't survive the next day if I did that,' showing their respect.
After finishing the run, Kian84, who collapses on the ground, asks Sean with a smile, 'Are you just starting your day?' Sean reveals his tight schedule after dropping the kids off at school, and Kian84 questions, 'Are you enjoying it?' Kian84 shares, 'He lives like a person who would appear in a textbook, so I wonder if he thinks of something else inside.' The rainbow members empathize with Kian84's questions, saying, 'Everyone must have been curious.'
As all eyes are fixed on Sean's answer, his consistent response sparks admiration from the rainbow members once again. Viewers await to see what kind of emotion Kian84's 'Miracle Day' will deliver. The backstage of the Broadway musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending' and writer Park Cheon-hyu's life in New York will be aired tonight (29th) at 11:10 p.m. on 'Home Alone.'
