Problem Child in House's Solbi recalled her difficult past with fake video rumors.
On the 28th, during the broadcast of KBS 2TV's variety show 'Problem Child in House' (hereafter 'PCH'), Solbi shared a moment of injustice while appearing alongside Hwangbo, a cast member of 'Omanchu'.
On that day, Solbi answered the question, 'What is the most unjust moment in your life?' by saying, 'In 2009, a video that wasn't me went viral, using my name, and it was the first case in our country where something untrue spread.'
She continued, 'I didn't know how to cope. I went to the police station and filed a complaint but couldn't catch the initial distributor, only those who spread it later. At that time, I felt very unjust.' She added, 'After that, social media emerged, remixing and reproducing the content, which my mom received.'
Solbi noted, 'At first, I didn't plan to file a complaint, but someone from the Korean National Police Agency contacted my company, saying, 'This is circulating, shouldn't Solbi file a complaint?' Honestly, I was too scared to think at that time. I couldn't go around saying, 'It's not me,' and I felt it was inappropriate to clarify through articles. I fell into depression and developed social anxiety.'
She added, 'Now I can talk about it because the social atmosphere has changed, but back then, people said, 'Just stay quiet and don't say anything.' It was really hard not knowing what to do as it kept spreading.'
Hong Jin Kyung remarked, 'When such incidents happen, if you don't file a complaint, people believe it's real.' Joo Woo-jae also said, 'You can't just stay quiet. People think, 'If you leave it alone, it will go away,' but I don't think that's the case.'
Kim Jong-kook, who faced drug allegations due to 'fake news,' shared, 'When the drug allegations came out, I went to the hospital the very next day. You have to act immediately.'
In particular, Solbi expressed, 'It was emotions I had never experienced before.' She added, 'This led to my breakup with my boyfriend. His parents knew about it, and although I was the victim, I think they didn't want a girlfriend who was embroiled in such a noisy controversy.' Upon hearing this, Joo Woo-jae said, 'I hope the person who created this suffers in hell.'
Solbi mentioned that she started art after that. She said, 'The world looked so dark, and I felt resentful towards everyone. To overcome this, I started hiking, and eventually, while undergoing psychological treatment, I was advised to try art, which I began.'
Solbi shared, 'Art has really changed my perspective on the world in a healthy way, and my feelings of hatred towards people improved. Back then, I started painting in a journal format, and as I expressed the story of my scars through art, negative comments became the subject matter.' She revealed that she overcame her slump through art.
