Bill Gates, a global tycoon and co-founder of Microsoft (MS), and chairman of the Gates Foundation, appeared on 'You Quiz' and shared about his daily life.
Gates noted in the tvN talk show 'You Quiz on the Block,' which aired on the 27th, that, "To be honest, I live in a very nice house."
He stated, "When traveling, I take a private jet, and there are staff who cook for me. I actually spend quite a lot of money."
He lightheartedly added, "I use a Samsung phone gifted by Chairman Lee Jae-yong."
Gates, who predicted the era of personal computers (PCs), discussed the upcoming era of artificial intelligence (AI), saying, "I don't want to force coding education on young children, but if they like math, coding, engineering, and science, there will be tremendous opportunities."
However, he pointed out that ultimately one must find what they are good at and be flexible in an environment where they are expected to learn something for a lifetime.
He emphasized, "If AI develops sufficiently, a time will come when nothing will be lacking. Eventually, people will realize what gives them a sense of fulfillment."
During the broadcast, Gates also talked about his favorite cola and cheeseburgers.
He laughed, saying, "I eat hamburgers and drink cola at least four times a week. I almost always order cheeseburgers."
What Gates loves as much as hamburgers is books. He spends 'thinking weeks' in deep reflection twice a year.
Gates explained, "To see significant changes with an open mind, I needed time to focus on myself away from everyday tasks."
He recommended books that have influenced him, including Steven Finger's 'The Good Angel of Our Nature,' Hans Rosling's 'Factfulness,' and Vaclav Smil's 'How the World Really Works.'
Gates previously promised to return 280 trillion won, which corresponds to 99% of his total wealth, to society by 2045.
He stated, "The equity of the company has become very valuable. I have no intention of spending money for myself. I don't believe in passing on the family business to my children. They must earn money on their own. So I decided that what remains with me should be returned to society."
On that day, Gates also donated the 1 million won prize he received for answering a question correctly.
