H.O.T. member Jang Woo Hyuk has taken a step closer to marriage in November.
On the 27th, Channel A's 'Groom Class' featured Jang Woo Hyuk on his third date with the 16-year-younger actress Oh Chae Yi.
On this day, Jang Woo Hyuk went on a date with Oh Chae Yi and his nephew. Having never taken care of a child before, he reached out to Moon Hee Joon, the father of two children, for help, and Moon Hee Joon advised him to play energetically with the kids. He continued, "From the perspective of the person I'm dating right now, this might be a bit of a test. If I can get along this well with the kids, I can envision the future. I imagine that I could become such a father later on, which would likely increase my attractiveness. I need to play well today."
He asked, "I suddenly became curious. Are you thinking seriously about marriage?" and Jang Woo Hyuk replied, "Watching your YouTube, my thoughts about marriage have changed positively," adding, "The first child, Jam Jam, and Hui Yul are so cute. How can they be so adorable?" Moon Hee Joon said, "You must be thinking about kids," and Jang Woo Hyuk shared that he felt positively about having a second child, saying, "Haven't we talked about this while drinking together? Don't you want to raise a child from your DNA?"
Moon Hee Joon revealed, "Because it feels like I'm watching my childhood. It's so similar. The actions they take are exactly the same as mine when I was young. And they even dance. They dance alone. It was amazing to see that this child has my DNA. I was really fascinated by that."
Afterward, Jang Woo Hyuk headed to the kids' cafe, the meeting spot. There, he found Oh Chae Yi and his nephew Lee Joon. Following Moon Hee Joon's advice, he began playing with Lee Joon energetically. Lee Da Hae mentioned, "I can't really talk to Chae Yi," but Jang Woo Hyuk responded, "If I do this, I can earn points with Chae Yi, so I'm doing my best."
Putting all his effort into winning over Lee Joon's heart, Jang Woo Hyuk soon found himself exhausted. While Oh Chae Yi and Lee Joon briefly stepped away, Jang Woo Hyuk looked drained, and Moon Se Yoon commented, "This is realistically how fathers look. Dads always appear like this, exhausted and dazed." Jang Woo Hyuk added, "I felt like I did 'We Are the Future' five times," saying, "I think I zoned out without even realizing it. Ah... is this what parenting is like? I really respect all the mothers and fathers in Korea."
After an intense play session, the three took a break, and when Lee Joon asked, "Uncle, am I cool?" Jang Woo Hyuk answered, "Yes," showing a favorable disposition. Oh Chae Yi revealed, "I actually packed a little lunch for the kids to eat. I made it myself this morning, early in the morning," as she took out a homemade lunch box. Seeing this, Jang Woo Hyuk exclaimed, "Not only is it amazing that you prepared a lunch box, but just look at this quality!" and boasted, "It is said that you usually prepare these for the kids. This one is for adults, and the smaller one is even smaller than my pinky finger."
Moon Se Yoon asked, "You must have imagined a lot of scenarios. This lunch box is for Joon now, but it'll be more beautiful when you make it for me," to which Jang Woo Hyuk candidly replied, "I can see the future. As a man, don't we all think about wanting to be with someone who cooks well?"
He then playfully instructed Lee Joon to call him "uncle," and Lee Joon immediately replied, "Uncle," surprising Oh Chae Yi. Oh Chae Yi remarked, "Is this your first time saying 'uncle'? Why do you listen so well? You really surprised me. I've never seen this before," and Jang Woo Hyuk felt proud, saying, "I said 'uncle' a hundred times back then. But now, I still hear him call me like that. And he looks for me frequently." He then fed Oh Chae Yi a piece of kimbap, playfully calling her, "Darling~" Lee Seung Chul teased, "You've gone too far," but Oh Chae Yi shyly smiled as she accepted the kimbap, creating a warm atmosphere. Lee Joon also spontaneously offered food to Jang Woo Hyuk, calling him "uncle" even without being prompted.
Not long after, Lee Joon's mother, who is also Oh Chae Yi's older sister, came to take him away, and Oh Chae Yi and Jang Woo Hyuk moved to their secondary location. Jang Woo Hyuk said, "Today was so much fun," and Oh Chae Yi expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm glad. Thank you for your help." Jang Woo Hyuk asked, "Why is the baby so cute and listens so well? Isn't looking after a nephew also work and tiring?" Oh Chae Yi answered, "That's right. After all, he's my nephew, so he's adorable and not tiring at all." Jang Woo Hyuk then remarked, "Is this what married life is like? A vicarious experience," making a meaningful comment.
The two moved to a cozy pub and shared some beer. Jang Woo Hyuk expressed, "It's hard as Hee Joon said, but I feel like there's something to gain. For sure. Joon is so cute, and it reminds me of that," with affection. Oh Chae Yi responded happily, "I think Joon really likes you." Jang Woo Hyuk inquired about Oh Chae Yi's older sister and brother-in-law, asking if they provided any advice regarding marriage or having kids during their honeymoon stage or dating, to which Oh Chae Yi responded, "Sure, they definitely do. My sister often tells me to meet a caring man. Since my brother-in-law is a man, he says if there's someone, bring him along for verification. I'm not really sure how they do the verification though," causing Jang Woo Hyuk to shudder.
Meanwhile, Jang Woo Hyuk honestly asked, "Haven't the three of them talked about me?" Oh Chae Yi replied, "For now, they seem to look at you positively. My brother-in-law is still a bit skeptical..." Jang Woo Hyuk jokingly queried, "Should I show my teeth? Tartar flirting?"
He stated, "In my eyes, Joon seems like a blessing," to which Oh Chae Yi remarked, "You really do like kids," seemingly surprised. Jang Woo Hyuk admitted, "I had no idea," and cautiously prodded Oh Chae Yi about what kind of mother she wants to be, saying, "Since you love kids so much..." Oh Chae Yi replied, "A mother who can make her child feel loved. I want to be a mother who gives a lot of love like a generous tree that gives unconditionally." Jang Woo Hyuk added, "I think love is everything at its core. Everything in this world is made of love, and with love alone, we can accomplish everything."
Oh Chae Yi marveled, "So you are a person overflowing with love," and Jang Woo Hyuk explained, "I've tried hard to be this way, and as I worked at it, it naturally grew." Oh Chae Yi remarked, "This is definitely our third meeting. Is it because of the kids? I feel like we are getting really close. I've seen many new facets of you," while Jang Woo Hyuk confessed, "Watching you with the kids gave me a mother-son vibe. I was actually a bit taken by how adeptly you handle children."
Watching this, Shim Jin Hwa commented, "They met in July and said they would marry in November, according to Taro," and Lee Seung Chul added, "November has such nice weather these days," playfully adding, "Oh, I'm so excited!"
Oh Chae Yi said, "As I mentioned when we first met, I don't actively seek just a casual relationship; I want the relationship to advance only when the future is clear," to which Jang Woo Hyuk responded, "I'm also very serious like you, Chae Yi, and even during our first and second meetings, even in such a short time, I had many thoughts. So, I would like to formally ask if you might want to consider a serious relationship with me going forward," suggesting a formal relationship. Upon hearing this, Oh Chae Yi shyly replied, "Oh... now?" expressing curiosity about his answer.
