'Eoljjang Era' webtoon artist Park Tae-jun and former girl group member Choi Soo-jung's divorce was revealed late. He stated that the claims regarding a property partitioning lawsuit are completely unfounded.
On the 28th, Park Tae-jun told OSEN in a phone call, 'It is true that I divorced Choi Soo-jung. Discussions began early last year, and by August last year, the divorce mediation was established, and the paperwork was completed.'
A previous report claimed that Park Tae-jun and Choi Soo-jung got divorced last year, borrowing the words of close associates who said, 'Park Tae-jun and Choi Soo-jung are currently undergoing a property partitioning lawsuit.'
In response, Park Tae-jun said, 'Not at all. It is not a lawsuit but a mutual consent divorce. There is no story about a property partitioning lawsuit; we amicably agreed. The reason for the divorce is personality differences.'
In fact, if the divorce mediation was concluded in August last year, the property partitioning would also be settled as of August last year. The terms agreed upon by the parties are recorded in the mediation report, which has legal effect simultaneously with the final judgment. Park Tae-jun noted that he reached an amicable agreement with Choi Soo-jung during the divorce mediation process regarding the property partitioning.
He added, 'I didn't think it necessary to disclose this. It's not good information. I kept silent because I was concerned about the impact on the other party.'
Meanwhile, Park Tae-jun gained recognition by appearing on Comedy TV's 'Eoljjang Era' in 2009. Following that, he appeared on shows like 'Eoljjang TV,' 'Pretty Boy Corporation,' 'SIKSIN,' and 'Let's Become an Actor.' Since starting the webtoon 'Appearance-Based Nationalism' in 2014, he has serialized works such as 'Fighting Alone,' 'Life is Dead,' and 'Show Me The Lucky Chan!'
Choi Soo-jung debuted as a member of the Korea-China joint girl group Lotte Girls in 2010. The following year, she featured in the music video for 'I Might Die Like This' alongside Park Tae-jun and singer Lem. In 2019, she attracted attention by appearing as Hwasa's close older sister on MBC's 'Home Alone.'
