Actress Lee Yo-won has stated that she is against her daughter getting married in her 20s.
On the 28th, a video titled 'An extraordinary outing of an unusual sister who wants to just lie at home l EP23 l Lee Yo-won l Choi Hyun-a's ordinary Thursday night' was posted on the YouTube channel of Choi Hyun-a.
That day, when asked about marriage, Lee Yo-won said, "I got married when I was rising, as they say nowadays." To the question from Choi Hyun-a about how that could be, she replied, "I think it was possible because I was young. I was just 23 years old then. But I think if I hadn't gone then, I wouldn't have been able to until now, like my friends. It seems difficult if you miss the timing."
As a mother of three children, when asked how old her eldest child is, Lee Yo-won answered, "I wonder how old the eldest is. She was born in 2003. She's 23 years old. So, she's surprised. 'Mom got married a year later?' She is really surprised."
To this, Choi Hyun-a asked, "Does the eldest not think of getting married early like her mother?" Lee Yo-won replied, "I absolutely tell her not to. You cannot get married in your 20s at all. At least in your 20s, I hope she lives just for herself. Once she gets married and becomes a mother, she has to live her life as that child's mother. There's no need to do that early."
When asked how she would feel if her children later wanted to become celebrities, she said, "If they want to later, they should do it on their own. After living my life and seeing young people, I notice that many don't have things they want to do. So, I hope they can pursue what they want."
Meanwhile, Lee Yo-won got married in 2003 and has one son and two daughters.
