Jennifer Lopez, former colleague Luis Guzman's blunt diss… 'Hot Ones' scene in uproar.
Hollywood actor Luis Guzman suddenly sparked controversy by dissing Jennifer Lopez.
On the 27th (local time), Guzman appeared on the popular YouTube talk show 'Hot Ones' alongside cast members Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, George Farmer, and Joy Sunday from the Netflix drama 'Wednesday.' When asked to describe the legendary actors he worked with in one word, he praised Adam Sandler and Catherine Zeta-Jones as "Amazing" and "Bellísima," respectively.
However, when the name of Jennifer Lopez, whom he collaborated with in the 1998 film 'Out of Sight,' came up, Guzman shrugged his shoulders and simply replied, "OK." The indifferent response elicited laughter from the other guests, and the atmosphere turned awkward, with laughter echoing everywhere.
Shortly after the broadcast, comments on YouTube included reactions such as, "It exploded from the J.Lo diss," and "That's just too direct, it's funny." Some fans questioned, "What on earth happened?" raising doubts about the two's past relationship.
Interestingly, during an interview with a media outlet in 1998, the year 'Out of Sight' premiered, Lopez caused controversy by making bold statements about fellow actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, and Winona Ryder. At that time, she became the subject of a 'controversial interview' with remarks like, "I don't even remember what Gwyneth did," and "Cameron is just a lucky model."
Later, in a 2001 Vanity Fair interview, Lopez clarified, saying, "There were misunderstandings and distortions," but Guzman's 'OK' diss has brought her past remarks back into focus.
Currently, neither Jennifer Lopez's nor Luis Guzman's representatives have made any statements regarding the broadcast content.
