The group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) proved their powerful ticketing ability by selling out Hong Kong's largest stadium.
On the 28th, according to their agency Pledis Entertainment, tickets for the 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN HONG KONG' sold out on the day they were opened for general reservation. It was already evident during the pre-sale that the available seats ran out on that day, highlighting SEVENTEEN's immense popularity.
The concert will be held at Kai Tak Stadium on September 27-28. Kai Tak Stadium has hosted performances by world-class artists such as the legendary British rock band Coldplay and top Chinese star Jay Chou.
Prior to the Hong Kong performance, SEVENTEEN will kick off their world tour 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]' with a grand spectacle at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13-14. The Incheon concert also recorded a sell-out on the day tickets were made available for pre-sale. After Incheon and Hong Kong, the members will continue their tour through five cities in North America in October and four major domes in Japan from November to December.
SEVENTEEN continues to showcase their status as 'performance artisans' while breaking into stadiums in major cities at home and abroad. Last year, they made their way into the Seoul World Cup Stadium and Kanagawa's Nissan Stadium, and this year they have performed in major stadiums in key Asian cities including Bulacan, Jakarta, Singapore, and Bangkok. Based on these accomplishments, the members ranked as the highest K-pop artist (3rd place) in the Billboard's mid-year box score 'Top Tours' for this year.
