The 30th Busan International Film Festival has unveiled this year's lineup for the Actors House.
Actors House is the Busan International Film Festival's signature program where contemporary representative actors, possessing both acting skills and star power, share candid and in-depth stories about their performances and works. This year, it will feature a special time with actors representing Asia, including Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Kim Yoo-jung, who will reflect on their acting lives and share intimate stories that cannot be heard anywhere else.
First, this year's opening film, 'No Other Choice,' will be attended by its two leading actors, Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin.
Lee Byung-hun, an actor who crosses over between the screen and television with a commanding presence, has maintained his standing as a representative actor of Korea with a spectrum of roles from the Netflix series 'Squid Game' (2021) to films such as 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' (2009), 'Inside Men' (2015), and 'The Match' (2025). Recently, he lent his voice in 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (2025), showcasing his limitless talents. His philosophy of acting and depth is expected to be shared directly with the audience, having won the Best Actor award at the 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards and dominated major domestic award ceremonies.
Son Ye-jin, an actress who has consistently faced audiences with her diverse roles ranging from 'The Classic' (2003) and 'Crash Landing on You' (2019) to 'There Are No Secrets' (2016) and 'The Princess and the Matchmaker' (2016), will hold a conversation in Busan. Having built her own distinctive acting world that leaves a profound impact on numerous audiences, she will share honest experiences about her works and future plans, showcasing yet another charm.
Kazunari Ninomiya, an actor from the famous Japanese idol group Arashi, will also attend the Actors House. Having achieved public success early on, he has proven his acting skills in works such as 'Letters from Iwo Jima' (2006), 'Living with Mother' (2015), 'The Prosecutor's Witness' (2018), and 'The Asada Family' (2020), establishing himself as a leading actor in Japan by winning the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards at the Japan Academy Film Prize. This year, he is set to showcase a different side of himself in 'Exit No. 8' and will reflect on his growth and career, engaging in a special conversation at the Actors House.
Actress Kim Yoo-jung will also meet with audiences through the Actors House. Based on solid acting experience accumulated since her childhood, she has evolved into a leading actress in Korea's film and drama industry with her distinct style across various genres and characters in works such as '20th Century Girl' (2022) and 'My Demon' (2024). With explosive reactions already garnered from the trailer of 'Dear X,' which is set to be released in November, she will discuss her thoughts and passion for acting in an honest voice, delivering a profound resonance to the audience.
