On the 28th, Cha Ji-yeon posted a lengthy message on her social media stating, "First, I want to apologize to everyone who was shocked to hear my news."
He said, "After severely hitting my right fourth toe during rehearsal, I experienced intense pain, and after urgently visiting the emergency room, I was diagnosed with a fracture, and my heart dropped. I could think of nothing but the performance." He also explained, "The next morning, I underwent surgery to insert screws, and today marks the seventh day, and I am focusing on recovery."
He continued, "After the surgery, I was advised that the period during which I could participate in activities without strain was six weeks. However, I am well aware that it is causing significant distress to the audience members who have waited, as well as the creative team and the production staff, so I desperately wanted to return as soon as possible. Fortunately, recovery is progressing faster than expected, allowing me to expedite my return."
He noted, "Although I'll be in an uncomfortable state on stage, with the understanding and help of many people, I will strive to perform as carefully and cautiously as possible. I sincerely want to express my apologies and gratitude once again to the audience members who have waited with an open heart."
Meanwhile, Cha Ji-yeon sustained a fracture injury while rehearsing for the play "Prima Facie." Consequently, her performances scheduled between August 28 and September 14 were unfortunately canceled.
