JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ has unveiled the second performance video as part of its project 'NEXZ Archive 2025'.
JYP released the signature performance content 'NEXZ Archive 2025 | Y NOT Choreography | peekaboo (feat. AZ Chike) - Kendrick Lamar' on August 26 at 8 p.m. on NEXZ's official SNS channel. 'NEXZ Archive' is a group project that showcases performances in collaboration with dancers and choreographers, and it announced the start of this year's content by previously opening a video in collaboration with the dance crew ChillLit on July 29.
This video features the performance of Kendrick Lamar's 'peekaboo (feat. AZ Chike)' in collaboration with the renowned choreographer team 'Y NOT'. The one-take technique was utilized to capture seamless movements flowing smoothly with the song's beats and camera movements. The careful expressiveness and precise movements of the seven members, along with their powerful energy, enhanced the immersion.
Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, and Yuki, who made their global debut with the first single 'Ride the Vibe' in May 2024, continue to thrive in 2025. They won their first award at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards just seven months after their local official debut in March this year, and they garnered acclaim on major charts such as Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart with their mini-album 'O-RLY?' released in April, as well as with their second EP 'One Bite' released in July in Japan.
Beginning in Kanagawa in June and concluding in Osaka in August, they successfully conducted a debut live tour titled 'NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 "One Bite"' across 15 cities in Japan with a total of 18 performances. As they shine as a 'next-generation stage hotspot,' attention is focused on their forthcoming global activities and performances.
