The group ZEROBASEONE has raised expectations for their comeback by posting an album sampler that gives a glimpse of the atmosphere of their first regular album.
ZEROBASEONE (Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuobin, Park Geonwook, Han Yujin) showcased the album sampler for their first regular album 'Never Say Never' today (27th) at midnight through their official YouTube channel.
The released album sampler starts with a VHS video labeled 'ZEROBASEONE' playing. Various objects symbolizing each track, such as lightning, basketball shoes, oasis, candy, skateboard, fireworks, fire, aurora, stars, and letters, appear sequentially, connected by blue wires, enhancing the viewing pleasure.
First, the title track 'Iconik' represents ZEROBASEONE's journey as artists, clearly capturing each member's charm and identity. The message 'Regardless of others' evaluations, we can become iconic beings on our own' embodies the bold aspirations of the nine members who still want to shine even brighter.
'Never Say Never' also includes 'Slam Dunk,' an EDM & hip-hop genre track that feels like an unscripted drama on a basketball court, 'Lovesick Game,' which depicts an unstoppable tangled love game, 'Goosebumps,' which captures the intoxication of love in its addictive chorus, and 'Dumb,' a light and easy hip-hop-based up-tempo pop genre with playful melodies and a cheerful message.
In addition, the album features 'Now or Never (Korean ver.),' a title track of the first Japanese EP 'Preznt' sung in Korean, 'Extra,' a unit song by Sung Hanbin, Seok Matthew, Kim Gyuobin, Park Geonwook, and Han Yujin, blending intense drums and cool guitar sounds in a high-energy hip-hop dance genre, 'Long Way Back,' a unit song by Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Kim Taerae, and Ricky that depicts the pain of distance in a heart and the longing to get closer again, and 'Star Eyes,' an EDM pop genre that captures the moving narrative of the shining boys of ZEROBASEONE, along with a heartfelt fan song 'I Know U Know' for their fans, totaling 10 tracks.
'Never Say Never' is the first regular album presented by ZEROBASEONE since their debut and captures the brightest moments in their musical journey alongside their fandom, ZEROSE. ZEROBASEONE offers a powerful encouragement that 'nothing is impossible (Never Say Never)' to those who dream of something special even in ordinary reality if they do not give up.
