Free-spirited Kim Dae-ho has fallen in love with Gangwon Province.
On the broadcast of MBC's 'Save Me! Homes' airing on the 28th (Thursday), the program will embark on a journey to escape the heat and find the highest house in Korea, the 최高 altitude house. Kim Dae-ho heads to Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, where there are 22 mountains over 1,000 meters in elevation.
Upon arriving in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, Kim Dae-ho introduces himself by saying, "I'm going to check out the best house at an elevation of 1,000 meters. There are no electricity, gas, or water facilities there. It's a neighborhood where nature dwellers gather." He draws attention with an incredibly excited expression. After traveling for 30 to 40 minutes along a winding mountain road by vehicle, Kim Dae-ho is taken aback by the altitude rising in real time.
Arriving at the best house at an altitude of 1,000 meters, Kim Dae-ho, feeling the natural breeze all over his body, says, "The natural breeze seems to remove the dog food smell from my body. It's a natural deodorization." The 최高 house is said to have been sturdily built from real logs and was established where the shifting cultivators left in the 1970s.
Additionally, it is said that the roof of the 최高 house is home to rapeseed flowers and moss. Climbing a ladder to the roof, Kim Dae-ho confesses, "If this house were to be sold as is, it seems like it could be purchased." Discovering a peach tree and wild bear garlic in the mountain behind the house, Kim Dae-ho samples them on the spot, entering into a sensory exploration. Watching this, Park Na-rae remarks, "Let's save some money in the fall and buy deworming medicine!" eliciting laughter.
After inspecting the 최高 house, Kim Dae-ho enjoys Gangwon Province's local specialities, makgeolli and cup noodles, purchased directly from a supermarket before setting off. Drinking from four varieties of makgeolli, Kim Dae-ho shouts out loudly that it's delicious while looking out the window. Captivated by the charm of Taebaek, Kim Dae-ho confesses his thoughts, saying that once he's somewhat prepared, he would like to live like this, noting that the height brings a cool and pleasant living environment.
