The appearance of Lim Young-woong in 'Island Bachelor Hero' stirred up Somodo.
The first episode of the new SBS entertainment program 'Island Bachelor Hero,' which aired on the 26th, depicted the scenes of Lim Young-woong, Kweido, and Lim Tae-hoon visiting a small island to escape their hectic daily lives.
At 6 a.m. that day, the three gathered at Wando Port and boarded a boat headed for Somodo. While enjoying the sea view on the boat, Lim Young-woong recalled, "In my unknown days, I attended many cruise events, and those memories came back to me."
The three expressed concerns about the unplanned filming. Upon hearing it was a small island without a supermarket, convenience store, or restaurant, Lim Young-woong worried, "Do we really have to cook everything ourselves?" The production team handed over an illustrated map.
Checking the map, 'Iron Bag Chef' Lim Tae-hoon confidently stated, "I am a human navigation system. I know everything after seeing it once. I have done deliveries, so I remember the map after seeing it once."
On the other hand, Kweido, calling himself bad with directions, remarked, "There are people who turn the map around, right? I also rotate the navigation. My coordinate system doesn't match with me. I look at the center of the Earth." This humorous revelation made everyone laugh.
Upon arriving at Somodo, the three climbed a steep hill and arrived at their accommodation in just 30 minutes. However, there were only two bottles of water in the refrigerator, and Lim Young-woong said, "We came for a healing trip, but do we have to worry about survival? This is a big problem. There's really nothing in the refrigerator."
Ultimately, the three decided to visit the village chief's house for help. The village chief greeted Lim Young-woong warmly, saying, "Oh, a precious guest has arrived; a valuable guest has come to Somodo!"
The village chief's wife hugged Lim Young-woong. She soon returned with an umbrella and demonstrated her affection by shielding Lim Young-woong from the sunlight. The head of the women's association was similarly excited, exclaiming, "He is incredibly handsome!" as she rushed out barefoot to warmly welcome Lim Young-woong.
The head of the women's association held Lim Young-woong's hand tightly and said, "How did you come all the way to Somodo, my dear? You look so beautiful on TV that my heart races. I am happier to see you than my own son."
Continuing to encounter elder residents, they expressed their joy at seeing Lim Young-woong. A haenyeo (female diver) happily presented him with a conch shell she had harvested, while another local woman offered him a watermelon. In fact, some women insisted, saying to the three, "Precious guests have come; I wouldn't regret giving everything I have to you."
