Boom revealed his love story with his wife on 'Dolsing Fourmen.'
In the episode aired on the 26th of SBS's entertainment program 'Dolsing Fourmen' (hereafter referred to as 'Dolsing Fourmen'), Boom shared stories about his journey from his first meeting with his wife to their marriage.
Boom, who married in 2022 and has now been married for 3 years, said, 'My biological father introduced us.' When everyone seemed curious, Boom added, 'My father suddenly passed away when I was active. I couldn't say goodbye properly, and the atmosphere at home became very gloomy.'
He continued, 'I was the second child, so I was very affectionate. I would touch my dad's face and hands; I was like a little boy when I would carry him around. My older brother was more responsible. Perhaps because he couldn't be as affectionate, he felt even sadder.' So, Boom suggested a trip to Jeju Island to uplift the family atmosphere, leading to a meeting with his wife's family at a black pig restaurant.
Boom said, 'My wife's family was visiting the adjacent table. My mother-in-law told me she was a fan, so I greeted her. But, my mother-in-law's daughter was exactly my ideal type.' Hearing this, Tak Jae-hoon teased, 'Even when the family is in sorrow, you notice that?' and Boom jokingly replied, 'I'm a bachelor, so of course, I noticed.'
Boom also confessed, 'My dream has always been to marry a woman from Gangwon Province. All my aunts are from Gangwon. I lived in Gangwon when I was young, so when we talked, they were from Chuncheon. We also took pictures, and I asked for her contact information before leaving. I asked for my wife's contact information in front of my mother-in-law.'
He added, 'I had a feeling that it was destined for me to marry that woman.' He mentioned, 'I even covered the black pig meal. My mother-in-law asked my wife, 'Does Boom like you?''
Boom surprised everyone by revealing the reason his biological father introduced them: 'While we were dating, my wife dreamed of my father.' He shared, 'I only went to the ancestral grave after seeing a photo, but my father didn't appear in my dream; he appeared in my wife's dream. I have now come to feel that my father sent my wife to me so I wouldn't live a lonely life. My father appeared in my dream once. He appeared many times in my wife's dream, even the day before our wedding.'
Moreover, Boom highlighted that he tried to hide his cheapness to match his glamorous wife, drawing attention.
Boom said, 'At first, I had to show my charm, so I tried my best to win her heart.' He added, 'I changed my car to a sedan, making sure it didn't look too flashy. It used to be from Company F, and the top could open. I changed to a high-end sedan. I also modified the music settings in the car.'
Lee Sang-min commented on the wedding, saying, 'In the end, Boom, who looked sophisticated during the wedding, began to reveal his true self.' To this, Boom responded, 'I felt sorry for Ki, as our wedding was the day after the recording for 'Saturday Night' and he was asking how I would enter. I said, 'I will enter formally. I originally said I was sophisticated. I will enter formally in a tuxedo; don't expect too much.'
He continued, 'While holding everything, as I entered, the button was pressed. There was no pumping from the singers below, so I had to signal using my own thighs. As I entered, I was really nervous. I could hear cheers from the crowd, and that excited me. I danced from start to finish.'
Meanwhile, Boom shared that he is happy because his daughter resembles his jawline. He confessed to having had a nose job, explaining, 'She resembles me below, but her eyes and nose are pretty like her mother's. The parts that didn't undergo surgery are like me, and the parts that did are like my wife.'
